creating a Healthier Society

Mumbai, as part of its initiative of creating a healthier society by providing
information about healthcare and spreading awareness amongst the masses of the
society.

Wockhardt Hospitals, Vashi, a 45-bedded multispecialty hospital, is conducting
two health awareness camps on 18 January 2014, as part of its initiative of
creating a healthier society by providing information about healthcare and
spreading awareness amongst the masses of the society. On the occasion of
Annual Day Celebrations of Kannada Samaj, Wockhardt Hospital Vashi will be
conducting a health talk session by Gynecologist, Physiotherapist and Dietician
for around 100 women at Kannada Samaj, Vashi Sec-8 from 4 to 5 pm., and will
also provide concessional PAP Smear & Gynecologist Consultation at
Wockhardt Hospital, Vashi. In addition
to this, hospital is also conducting a health talk by Physiotherapist on
Arthritis in Elderly at Senior Citizen’s Club in Vashi from 4 pm to 6 pm.
Commenting on
the same, Mr. Nishant Jaiswal, Centre Head, Wockhardt Hospitals, Vashi said,
“We, at Wockhardt Hospital, always aim at creating a healthy society with the
initiatives we undertake. We have been conducting health awareness camps to
improve the quality of life and we are proud to drive such initiatives for the
well-being of the society with an aim to make basic healthcare and health
awareness accessible to all. We are conducting a series of health check up
camps and health talks in Vashi as a part of our initiative".
On 12 January,
2014, Wockhardt Hosptials, Vashi conducted a health awareness camp at Sacred
Heart Church, Vashi. The camp was a part of the initiative. The Health
awareness camp started with a thorough Health examination for around 46
patients for Blood Pressure, Height, Weight, Body Mass Index, Temperature,
Pulse, Random Blood Sugar & Electro Cardio Gram, by the Wockhardt Team of
medical professionals. Few Patients were recommended to the Specialist doctor
for the further treatment. The patients included the adults and the children
from Sacred Heart Church, they were examined and various health complaints and
medical histories were assessed through detailed consultations conducted by doctors.
Dr. Shalin
Dubey, Consultant - Minimal Access Surgery, Wockhardt Hospitals, Vashi
delivered a lecture on Prostrate and Hernia to create awareness about the
various problems faced by individuals beyond the age of 40 years. He spoke
about the causes, the symptoms and the treatment of Prostrate and Hernia. He
said, "There is a rapid change in diet and lifestyle, various disease and
problems are faced due to our sedentary lifestyle and lack of awareness which
can be avoided by taking necessary precautions. Our Health Camps are targeted
to make common people aware about healthy living.”
