NERUL: On the occasion of Mothers

Rehabilitate, Educate and Empower) initiative is organizing a musical
extravaganza at Wonders Park, Nerul from 6 to 9 pm. The programme titled ‘Gaata
Rahe Mera Dil- Ek Shaam Stree Ke Naam’ which happens to be the first of its
kind will have live musical evening by MH 43 India (Retro Bollywood Rock Band)
and Soul (Sufi Rock Band). The bands will take you down the memory lane with
some of the hit Bollywood retro songs with a blend of modern music.
The other attractions of the evening will be Fashion
show by ‘Zameeni’ (an exclusive collection of sarees, kurtis, dupattas - straight

and BEATS Dance Academy.
“The main aim of ‘STREE’ is not only to highlight
women achievers but to bring more and more women under its project and help
them realize their potential, empower, educate and motivate them. Through this
event, we wish to salute all the wonderful ladies. The programme is free except
for the Wonders Park entry fee. We request all the residents to come in large
number and pay tribute to the women. There would be over 75 gifts to be given
to the lucky mothers on that day and it has been possible with the help of G3
Motors, Stem Rx, Royal Tulip Hotel, Housejoy & Surabhi Hospital, Nasik”
said Dr. Jayakar Ellis, President, Heart Foundation.
“This is the second event in two months first being
Heart 2016 for the youth where thousands of youth witnessed a three day event
and now GRMD for the Moms. As a youth it is the least I can do for my Mom
through this program and appeal to all the youth to bring their Moms for this
unique event,” said Keyoor Karadkhedkar, who heads the music division of the
Foundation – BEATS (Bringing Entertainment and Team Spirit) and the lead singer
of MH 43 India.
“I am glad that an initiative for the mothers of Navi
Mumbai is taking place on Mother’s Day.
My best wishes to STREE and Dr. Jayakar Ellis of Heart Foundation as
they continue to work towards the upliftment of women” said Shri Sudhakar
Sonawane, Mayor, Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation.
“I am happy that our Woman Assistance Cell, Navi
Mumbai Police under the leadership of Sr. PI Sangeeta Alphonso is associated
with the initiation of Mother’s day celebration by STREE and what best way to
salute our mom than through the Musical evening” said Dilip Sawant, deputy
commissioner of police (crime).
