Pad Man is a 2018 Indian biographical comedy-drama film written and directed by R. Balki, featuring Akshay Kumar, Sonam Kapoor, and Radhika Apte in lead roles. It is based on a short story in Twinkle Khanna's book The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad and is inspired by the life of Arunachalam Muruganantham, a social activist from Tamil Nadu.
The film is based on "The Sanitary Man of Sacred Land", a short story from Twinkle Khanna's book, The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad, which is inspired from the life of Arunachalam Muruganantham, a Tamil Nadu-based social activist who revolutionized the concept of menstrual hygiene in rural India by creating a low-cost sanitary napkins machine. Pad Man revolves around the story of Arunachalam who invented low-cost sanitary pads. The movie narrates the real life inspiring story of Arunachalam Muruganantham (played by Akshay Kumar), a social entrepreneur from Coimbatore, who invented low cost sanitary napkins in India, despite the massive opposition and humiliation he was subjected to. Akshay Kumar goes as far as wearing a pink ladies underwear and a pad to prove a point. Radhika Apte’s character relates to the section of women, who still face such societal taboos. Sonam Kapoor too lights up the screen with her candour and makes her presence felt in a significant role.
The film has Akshay Kumar as Lakshmikant Chauhan, Sonam Kapoor as Rhea, Radhika Apte as Gayatri, Sudhir Pandey, Maya Alagh and Amitabh Bachchan in a cameo appearance.
The music of the film has been composed by Amit Trivedi while the lyrics have been written by Kausar Munir. The movie has songs like "Aaj Se Teri" sung by Arijit Singh, "The Pad Man Song" by Mika Singh, "Hu Ba Hu" by Amit Trivedi, "Saale Sapne" by Mohit Chauhan and "Sayaani" by Yashita Sharma, Jonita Gandhi, Yashika Sikka and Rani Kaur.

15:17 to Paris

The 15:17 to Paris is an American biographical thriller film produced and directed by Clint Eastwood and written by Dorothy Blyskal, based on the autobiography The 15:17 to Paris: The True Story of a Terrorist, a Train, and Three American Soldiers by Jeffrey E. Stern, Spencer Stone, Anthony Sadler and Alek Skarlatos. The film stars Stone, Sadler and Skarlatos as themselves and follows the trio as they stop the 2015 Thalys train attack; Judy Greer and Jenna Fischer also star.
Three American friends are among those confronting a terrorist aboard a train bound for Paris. The title refers to the time the train departed Amsterdam Centraal station. In the early evening of August 21, 2015, the world watched in stunned silence as the media reported a thwarted terrorist attack on Thalys train #9364 bound for Paris—an attempt prevented by three courageous young Americans traveling through Europe. The film follows the course of the friends’ lives, from the struggles of childhood through finding their footing in life, to the series of unlikely events leading up to the attack. Throughout the harrowing ordeal, their friendship never wavers, making it their greatest weapon and allowing them to save the lives of the more than 500 passengers on board.

The film has Spencer Stone as himself, Anthony Sadler as himself, Alek Skarlatos as himself. Judy Greer as Joyce Eskel, Jenna Fischer as Heidi Skarlatos, Ray Corasani as Ayoub El-Khazzani, Tony Hale as Gym Teacher, Thomas Lennon as School Principal, Sinqua Walls as Marine, Victoria Cyr as VIP guest, P.J. Byrne as Mr. Henry – Hallway Monitor, Jaleel White as Garrett Walden, Robert Pralgo as Mr. Skarlatos and Alix Bénézech as Server and additionally, Paul-Mikel Williams, Max Ivutin, Bryce Gheisar, Cole Eichenberger, and William Jennings will portray younger versions of Stone, Sadler, and Skarlatos.
