Vashi to hold a Maharashtra Photography Festival
To
propagate artists’ expression

Inorbit Mall, Vashi is
launching a Maharashtra Photography festival collaborated with ‘The Flasheye
World Institute of Photography’ between 7 November and 15 November. This will
be an exhibition cum competition; mall visitors will get a chance to decide the
winner of the competition.
K. L Prasad, Police
Commissioner of Navi Mumbai, will interact with kids on safety measures on 14
November, Children’s day. On 15 November there will be a talk on photography by
Prasad Pawaskar, Secretary of Photography Society of India and Valssa Nair
Singh, Hon Secretary Tourism & Managing Director MTDC will visit the
exhibition to appreciate the efforts of the artists.
The festival aims to
promote the consortium of emerging and established photographers. Along with
Open Call Showcase, there will be an array of programmes, portfolio reviews,
workshops, photo talks and photo exhibitions.
The festival will
include a variety of competitions such as amateur photographers, professional
photographers, photography for kids and phoneography open to all. Winners of
each category will be awarded prizes for their creativity and talent.
There will be a seven
day long photo exhibition followed by a three day mega event; the Maharashtra
Photography festival is a wonderful photography extravaganza. So come marvel
the work of various photographers, vote for your favourite artist and decide
the winner.
