to organize National Children’s Science Congress at Airoli on 9 Nov

National Children's
Science Congress (NCSC), an annual event organized by Department of Science and
Technology, Government of India, where students of the high school present
their projects for appraisal and selection at the national level has commenced for
this year. The focal theme for this year and next is Understanding Weather and
Climate.
Navi Mumbai Science
Foundation (NMSF) that coordinates the event at Navi Mumbai level has received
more than 100 projects out of which 72 are selected for the district level
presentation, which is scheduled to take place on the 9 November 2014
(Saturday) at Euro School Airoli. The
selected 72 projects will be presented
to a group of eight judges drawn from the community of scientists and teachers.
In the day long program hosted by Euro School and presided by Dr. A.M. Bhagwat,
NMSF, the students also present their projects in the form of posters.
Two lectures,
"Cooperative learning strategies" by Dr. Archana Katgeri and
"Enhancing performance of children by nutrition and physical
activity" by Mr. Gangadhar N. Kalyane (BARC) are also arranged during the day. Those who want to
