Sanpada policeman praised for his invention
By Dinesh Kamath

NAVI MUMBAI: A person with an innovative mind can do a lot of good to the society. Such a person can come up with invention which can prove to be a boon for all around him. One such person who displayed his innovative mind was a Sanpada policeman A S Pathan (Inspector-traffic). He came up with a wireless mike which has made it possible for him and his colleagues to control the members of public more easily than before.
One should appreciate the genius of this policeman who with his invention has made it easy for him and his colleagues to monitor the busy traffic or to instruct motorists or to prevent the bikers from jumping the signal. All he does is speak softly on his mike and his voice reaches all those people on the road to whom he wants to pass on the message. The booming voice emanating from the mike forces the public to obey at once or face the consequences.
Thus Pathan has found an easy way to make people obey traffic rules. He just had to spend a few thousands to manufacture this device which he then got attached to his vehicle. Today he can monitor the traffic flow with ease and also pass on whatever instructions he wants to the motorists from the place where he is sitting. His superiors too have praised him for his invention and they are keen on having more such wireless microphones for their policemen to use while on duty.

A police official said, “If we are provided with such a device, there is no need to use whistles or make hand gestures to communicate with motorists on the road. Introduction of such a device in a big way will definitely prove to be a revolution in the police department. I am proud of the fact that one policeman from among us has come up with this invention.”
