SANPADA: Writer, Director and lyricist Shivaji Rathod, a resident of Sanpada, struggled his way to a respectable position in Marathi and Hindi Film Industry. He had come from Satara District to Mumbai to try his luck in the film industry and after a long struggle he managed to make it as a Writer, lyricist and Director.
While pursuing his career in the Mumbai Film Industry, he managed to make Hindi films like Lady Don, Shortcut, Always Win Stragglers, Janib, Khuli Kitab, Giroh, Rivayat, Dimag, Ghunghat Ki Aad Mein, Paisa Hi Paisa, Aapke Baad, Jugaar, Teri Yaad Har Pal, Inspector Anand, Ola Ba Haba, 30 Days, Ho Sabka Bhala, Baat Ban Gayi, Shreena, Khoon Rishtey Ka and Dil Milein. In Marathi language, he made films like Vilakhaa, Ghol Jhala Re, Dhol-Tashe, Baawlat, Bandgul, Bhaubandh, Vratbandh etc. His films like Yeh Nili Aankhein, Dil Ke Karib, Porgi Phasli and Hindu Hridaysamrat Balasaheb Thakeray enjoyed success at the box office.
Shivaji Rathod’s mantra is ‘Na Rukna Hai, Na Thakna Hai, Bas Tikna Hai’ (Neither wait nor get tired, just last). Equipped with his mantra Shivaji Rathod tried his luck in the Marathi and Hindi Film Industry and he managed to make it big by initially working for films like ‘The Legend of Bhagat Singh’, Parwana, Apaharan, Gangajal, Giroh, Singham Return, All The Best, Mangal Pandey - the Rising, Naino Mein Sapna, Action Jackson, Dua Mein Yaad Rakhna, Baat Ban Gayi, Banda Yeh Bindaas Hai, Sonpari (serial), 30 Days, Jeet Ho Ya Haar Raho Tayaar, Kuch Bhi Ho Sakta Hai. He worked in all these films and currently he is working in TGB Movies.
Shivaji Rathod is looking forward to make it still bigger as writer and Director in Marathi and Hindi films. He is also directing the Marathi film "PRANAAM" which is made under the banner of The Great Banjara Movies and based on New Education System. His Hindi films like Yuvapidi, Singh versus Sardaar, Open Party and Zindagi Ek Chance Hai and Marathi films like Abhinandan, Barakhadi, Karageer, Chalare Aaichya Gaavat, Raje Phakt Tumache, Godadit Gadbad Ghotala and Jhunj De are all set to go on the floors. The actors in all these films are being made to sign agreements.


In his Eighteen years old career in the Film Industry, Shivaji Rathod had been assisted by people like Jyoti Rathod, Amita Deshmukh, Rajendra Bhosale, Vinod Chavan, M.A.Mansuri, Ramesh Gupta, A. R. Mishra, Sudhir Shingare, Sangram Shirke, Shashikant Tarkar, Tippanna Rathod, Pravin Babar,Suresh Rathod, Rajendra Aitwadekar, Deep Chahande,Yuvraj Paikhat, Shankarrao Umape, Abhijeet Jadhav, Nagendra Chalmeti, Sunil Mane, Kiran Wankhade, Krishna Shinde, Adhir Ghag, Machindra More, Shailendra Kandpile, Manoj Kumar Mishra, Noor Ansari, Vasant Naik and others.
