Dinesh Kamath's Editorial 'ISRO does it once again!' that was published in Newsband

ISRO does it once again!
The Indian Space Research Organisation successfully launched a rocket using a scramjet engine that was developed indigenously. This is ISRO’s first major step towards developing an air breathing propulsion system. A rocket using a scramjet engine would be significantly lighter and smaller and, therefore, cheaper. Alternatively, rockets fired by scramjet engines will be able to carry more payload. Rockets with scramjet engines should remain in the atmosphere for a longer period than normal rockets.
ISRO is doing marvellous advancement for the nation and its people. ISRO is already in the elite club of the world. ISRO is the only organisation working selflessly and not influenced by the unethical politicians & political parties. Let us hope that the present ruling dispensation will not put its spanner into the functioning of ISRO.
ISRO is doing well in uplifting the image of India in spacefront in world level. Innovation can make difference and in coming days technology and innovation will rule. We have got ocean of opportunity in many other sectors also like in agriculture, defense etc. Innovation in such places can also save huge Indian money and can become the source of income. ISRO is probably the only organisation under government that's going good and making positive advances.
In ISRO's case, we had significant collaboration with the French (which led to the Vikas liquid-fuelled engine) and the Russians (in various areas, particularly cryogenic engines) and the US in satellite fabrication. When we made HF-24 Marut indigenously, we had noteworthy German inputs. While nobody will give us the jet engine technology, for example, we are making serious progress there too. Control laws for FBW or composites of Tejas were significant achievements we can be justly proud of. ISRO did source many components from abroad.

Again ISRO has set the magnificent precedent to world that the best technology-driven equipment could be developed at low cost too. Kudos to ISRO and its scientists for their success in ' conquering' space by using cheap and effective methods of rocket-launching techniques. This would serve as a lead in aerospace technology and many other countries may seek India's help in launching their satellites for their domestic purpose.
