Dinesh Kamath liked Akshara Haasan in movie ‘Shamitabh’

Haasan made her debut as an actress in Shamitabh, opposite Dhanush, which also has Amitabh Bachchan in the lead.

Akshara, daughter of veteran actor Kamal Haasan and actress Sarika, landed the role thanks to director R. Balakrishnan. Balki (R. Balakrishnan) and she met at a function. He said, ‘There is a character which I have you on my mind for’. Akshara accepted the role in ‘Shamitabh’. Working with the ‘Paa’ director was an “honour more than anything else for her. Later, they had a script discussion and she instantly connected to the script and the character. From there on, there was no looking back,

While working with Amitabh and Dhanush, she learnt a lot from the entire team. She connected to both Mr. Bachchan and Dhanush equally. She was nervous because she didn’t want to mess up at all, She wanted to give her 100 percent.

The movie received mixed to opositive reviews from critics. Akshara Haasan received praise from the highest quarters for her performance in’Shamitabh’. It was a great privilege for Akshara for having got a chance to make her debut alongside the Big B or Amitabh Bachchan who sent her a message of appreciation. On a more serious note, Kamal Haasan is excited about his younger daughter's acting debut. Akshara had started by assisting Rahul Dholakia. Then she signed her first film as an actor.

Akshara's immediate co-star in Shamitabh is Dhanush was "extremely protective" of Akshara. Dhanush helped Akshara with her lines, bailed her out when she got stuck in a scene. He was very much the protective friend on the sets.

I personally liked Akshara’s performance in Shamitabh. Looking forward to watch more films of Akshara in the future too.
