Dinesh Kamath's Editorial 'BJP displays its superiority' that was published in Newsband

BJP displays its superiority
In the Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman’s election, the ruling party and its allies fell short of a majority in the House. But the party made up in tact and ploy.
BJP chose a member of the Janata Dal (United), reached out to the Biju Janata Dal in Odisha and proposed a JD(U) MP, Harivansh, for the post. Once the deal with the BJD was sealed, Congress candidate B.K. Hariprasad stood no chance. BJD sees a longer term interest in coordinating with the BJP. The Congress might have missed a trick in not making the effort to win over the BJD and the Aam Aadmi Party.
Opposition unity is still very much a work in progress. The BJP and the Congress are the principal players at the national level in the next Lok Sabha election. A few regional players such as the Telangana Rashtra Samithi, the Telugu Desam Party, and the BJD could well find themselves pitched against both the Congress and the BJP
Opposition lacks 'killer instinct' specially in elections to any post. The right wing has manipulative electoral tool in every situation because they believe parliamentary system is all about elections and almost nothing else but stay in power
This is a Chankaya Niti (strategy). In love, war and politics everything is possible. Playing tactics and mastery over such occasions open the mind of clever people like BJP have.
BJP has done a good floor management to make its candidate winning the Rajya Sabha election by diligently managing the immediate contingencies. Yet the opposition stands tall and fumbles to find powerful strategy to bring all the opposing parties under single umbrella which will be a big challenge to BJP in regaining the polity in the upcoming election.
Congress is a scam filled dynastic party. It does not deserve any more term in Indian Politics. We need a national party that has national interests and common man's welfare as the only principles and act as a true opposition and prove its worth to capture power and rule. Certainly not this pseudo secular party.
