The plot revolves around the consequences when humans build a temple for her first-born. Set in Pune in the 1920s, it revolves around three generations of a brahmin family. A mythological story about a goddess who created the entire universe. The plot revolves around the consequences when humans build a temple for her first-born. There is no foreigner in Tumbbad. What we have instead is a wizened and diseased Indian grandmother, a frightened mother and two little children. When we meet them somewhere in rural Maharashtra about three decades before Independence, the mother is nursing the old woman while the kids puzzle over the mysterious goings-on in the shadowy innards of their decrepit habitation. They know that their parent is terrified of something, but they do not know for sure what it is. Looming in the background of their lives is a massive ancestral dwelling in the village of Tumbbad and a treasure they are not allowed to mention. The air is ominous, and everything that follows serves to build up the sense of unease that settles in with the first shot. India wins her freedom from the British and the older son grows into a man (played by Ship of Theseus and Simran's Sohum Shah) still burning with curiosity about the fate that befell his family when he was a child and what that treasure could do for him.
The film has Sohum Shah as Vinayak, Harish Khanna as Samsthanik, Ronjini Chakraborty, Anita Date, Mohd Samad, Jyoti Malshe, Dhundiraj Prabhakar Joglekar and Deepak Damle.

Helicopter Eela

Helicopter Eela is an Indian Hindi-language film directed by Pradeep Sarkar. It features Kajol in the lead role as an aspiring singer and single mother and is written by Mitesh Shah and Anand Gandhi. It is based on the Gujarati play Beta, Kaagdo, written by Anand Gandhi.
Eela joins her son's college to complete her studies. Ella Raiturkar (Kajol) is a single mother. Her son Vivan (Riddhi Sen) is a college student who admits to feeling embarrassed and suffocated with his mother's constant scrutiny. Why the film is titled Helicopter Eela, here's a quick trivia. Apparently, helicopter parents are the ones who pay extra close attention to their children's lives and experiences. And that is exactly how Eela is. She is constantly reminding Vivan about his dabba (tiffin), asking him to keep his cellphone aside and give her more time, walks into his room without any consideration for his privacy and also overhears his phone conversations. When Vivan in the heat of an argument makes a comment telling her off, it propels her to join his college to complete her education. As she sets out to explore her options, Vivan loses more of his 'me' space leading to a strain in their relationship. As the movie traces Eela's background, we are taken back to the days of indie-pop music with cassettes of Baba Sehgal, Alisha Chinai selling at the iconic music store in Mumbai, Rhythm House. Eela who is shown modelling part time also dreams of becoming a playback singer. The movie infuses a dose of nostalgia, recreating the launch of MTV India in 1996. Watch out for Shaan, Illa Arun, Baba Sehgal, Anu Malik, Mahesh Bhatt - who are all part of Eela's journey as a singer, which is short-lived. However, before she could make it big, she gives birth to Vivan and her life now is all about her son. Fast forward to present day, Eela is portrayed as a mother, walking the corridors of the college. Kajol is in solid form and engages us in her struggles, but sometimes they don't seem too significant.
The film has Kajol as Eela Raiturkar, Riddhi Sen as Vivaan, Tota Roy Chowdhury as Arun, Neha Dhupia as Lisa Marine, Shataf Figar as Madhavi Bhogat, Atul Kulkarni as Prime Minister, Mukesh Rishi as Rajesh Kumar Sharma, Imran Khan in cameo appearance as himself, Anu Malik in cameo appearance as himself, Alisha Chinoy in cameo appearance as herself, Ila Arun in cameo appearance as herself, Shaan in cameo appearance as himself and Amitabh Bachchan in cameo appearance.
The background score and two originals of the film is composed by Daniel B.George and other songs are composed by Amit Trivedi and Raghav Sachar. The lyrics are written by Swanand Kirkire, Asma and Shyam Anuragi (noted). The movie has songs like "Mumma Ki Parchai", "Yaadon Ki Almari", "Dooba Dooba", "Chand Lamhe", "Khoya Ujaala" and "Ruk Ruk Ruk".
