People will decide who is ‘Thief’ and who is ‘Serial Liar’ in 2019
The BJP repeated its allegation that Congress president Rahul Gandhi was lying in his attacks on the government over the Rafale fighter jet deal. Railway Minister Piyush Goyal called Rahul Gandhi a serial liar. Goyal pointed to an interview by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Dassault Aviation Eric Trappier, claiming that it clarified the circumstances behind the grant of the offset contract and that the company had itself chosen the partners for that. He went on to say that the Modi government had “negotiated terms which are far better than what was agreed by the UPA in 2007 and 2012. We have got faster delivery, longer maintenance tenure, better availability of spare parts and much-needed defence capabilities.
Goyal accused Gandhi of lying to Parliament about his personal meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron and asking him about the secrecy of the Rafale deal. He added that the Congress’s discomfiture with the current deal was because no close associate of the Gandhi family could profit from it.
Irrespective of whichever party is lying or stealing, the only fact that is certain is common public are made fools by both these parties. One or both these parties are guilty and should be penalised. Defence weapons and equipments deal must be made honestly and without any dubious deal.
Congress is a party with bunch of liars. They have mastered this art for the last 60 years. Rahul Gandhi is a prominent opposition leader. He is representing a political party like Indian National Congress, well-known to all countries. He should stop passing teen-ager-like childish comments. He never learnt to respect an important person like a man who is elected through an electorial procedure by the people and for the people to represent a developing country like India, consists of a population strength of more than 1.40 billion, as the honourable Prime Minister. He called PM a thief.
Piyush Goel, on the other hand, should go for a Joint Parliamentary probe and prove his point. This government should file a defamation case against serial liar. Finance Minister did it against Delhi CM and won the case. Even Anil Ambani said it three weeks before but people did not see any action; instead we heard the words of former French President.
Rahul Gandhi and Congress has only one goal: to confuse the electorate to their advantage. They have no interests to find the truth or give evidence for their claims.
OK, the opposition is supposed is to question the government and they are doing their duty. Why doesn’t the government take up its responsibility, correct if it has gone wrong and come out clean and stop outright rejection of opposition without any rational explanation. Shame to both BJP and Congress for using unparliamentary language like ‘serial liar’ and ‘thief’. Both should be charged by Parliament and the Election Commission.
In 2019, Lok Sabha election, people’s verdict will say finally who is serial liar, and who is compromising India’s security and future.
