NAVI MUMBAI: A
new NRI coastal police station building has come up at Kille gaothan along the
Palm Beach Road. But the inauguration of this office has yet to be done. The
top policemen of the city insist that the inauguration should be done by the
Chief Minister. But till now, CM just could not make time to do the
inauguration formality.
Navi Mumbai police commissioner Prabhat Ranjan will soon
be meeting the CM to fix a date for inaugurating the police station. Currently
the police station in Belapur village is being used. As soon as the inauguration
is done, the office will be shifted to the new building. This new building has
more space and facilities which will help the policemen to function better.
Currently the developer who did the construction has
employed security guards outside the new building to prevent any theft. As soon
as the inauguration is over and the staff members occupy the new police
station, the security guards will be withdrawn.
