Commercial Industry of India appointed to carry out survey in Navi Mumbai

NAVI MUMBAI: Central Government has given
permission to an NGO of Navi Mumbai viz. Central Commercial Industry of India
(CT) to carry out a survey initiated by Central Town Planning Ministry and
Chief Election Commission in which every house or property is given a permanent
number.
As per Aadhar Plan, every citizen has been given an
identity number. Similarly all the details of every home will be available online.
Hence the government chose to appoint special organizations or NGOs to carry
out this work. In Navi Mumbai, it is Central Commercial Industry of India (CT),
an NGO, which has been given the task of carrying out this campaign in Navi
Mumbai. The members of the NGO will visit house to house and gather information
which include Aadhar number, Election identity number, Educational background
and other 29 aspects. Each house will be charged Rs 20. Along with the houses,
places like hotels, business centres, schools, colleges etc will also be
provided with number plates. This campaign will be carried out in entire Navi
Mumbai. All these information will be forwarded to NMMC as well as Collectorate
Office and also they will be sent to the government. After allotting numbers to
all the houses, the information obtained will be used by the government for
various programmes.
NMMC has provided permission too to the NGO Central
Commercial Industry of India (CT) to carry out this campaign by putting forward
12 conditions. The members of this NGO will visit Navi Mumbai Mayor Sudhakar
Sonawane bungalow on Wednesday to get briefed by him after which they will
resume their work.
