Shahid Kapoor is busy shooting for ‘Kabir Singh’

Shahid Kapoor is playing the lead role opposite Kiara Advani in director Sandeep Vanga’s film ‘Kabir Singh’ which will release on June 21. ‘Kabir Singh’ is a remake of Telugu blockbuster Arjun Reddy which was very much loved by the audience. Shahid is having a great time. He finds Kabir Singh very special and Arjun Reddy simply amazing. It’s not easy to make the remake of a hit film.

Starring Vijay Deverakonda, Arjun Reddy was released in 2017. Shahid calls Kabir Singh an iconic film. 70% of the shoot has already been completed. Shahid is playing a challenging role. As the shooting of the film comes near to completion, all of those involved in making of this film are feeling super excited.

Kiara Advani plays the female lead opposite Shahid Kapoor in Kabir Singh. It is written and directed by Sandeep Vanga and is produced by Cine1 Studios and T-Series. The drama film Kabir Singh is a really special film, on the sidelines of Filmfare Style and Glamour Awards.

The film focuses on the title character, an alcoholic surgeon who goes on a self-destructive path after his ex-lover marries someone else.

According to a source, Shahid Kapoor is most likely to star in the Dingko Singh biopic. But according to Shahid Kapoor currently his entire focus is on movie ‘Kabir Singh’ and nothing else has been finalized. Bollywood seems to be overflowing with biopics lately, which is evident from the release of films like Sanju, Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, Dangal and MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, among more. Another such movie starring Shahid Kapoor has been in the headlines and is based on the life of Indian boxer Dingko Singh. Rumours have been abuzz about his interest in the other biopic as well.

Reportedly, Shahid was approached to star in the biopic based on North-East boxing champion, Ngangom Dingko Singh. But as the Jab We Met actor is busy shooting for Kabir Singh, portraying the role of the Gold medalist might not happen anytime soon.

Last month, several leaked photos of the actors shooting dropped on the internet. In them, Shahid and Kiara were seen beside a pool in a park, talking on the roof and riding a bike.

Kiara, for your information, will also be seen in Raj Mehta's Good News that also features Akshay Kumar, Diljit Dosanjh and Kareena Kapoor Khan in pivotal roles. The film is slated to hit theatres on September 6 this year.
