Sushant Singh Rajput will now hold a rifle instead of cricket bat
Remember Sushant Singh Rajput who
played the lead role in movie ‘M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story’? In this movie he
tried to emulate the former Indian cricket captain. From exercising for long
hours to reading a newspaper like him and even drinking a full glass of milk
without breaks, Sushant did it all for his 2016 blockbuster. Sushant underwent
training to act like Dhoni and hone his batting skills while trying to delve
into the psyche of the celebrated Indian cricketer. The film was directed by
Neeraj Pandey and produced by Arun Pandey.
Sushant Singh Rajput, Manoj
Bajpayee and Bhumi Pednekar are acting in the movie ‘Sonchiriya’. Manoj
Bajpayee plays the role of a dreaded dacoit in the film. The movie is directed
by Abhishek Chaubey. To prepare for his role in the film, Sushant Singh Rajput
had reportedly spent time with some former dacoits in Chambal. Bhumi Pednekar
was also in Chambal before she started filming Sonchiriya to get familiar with
the terrain. Bhumi Pednekar plays the role of a local from Chambal whose path
crosses the infamous dacoits in the area, who are being targeted by the police.
Extensively shot in Madhya Pradesh, the film also stars Ranvir Shorey and
Ashutosh Rana.
His film ‘Drive’ may also hit
screens in the near future. The film, which is directed by Tarun Mansukhani, is
a remake and stars Sushant and Jacqueline Fernandez in the lead. After making
the necessary changes, ‘Drive’ is all set to release in June this year. ‘Drive’
is reportedly the official remake of an English film of the same name starring
Ryan Gosling and Carey Mulligan.
Sushant has his own rules while
working in any film. He chooses not to see the monitor while shooting and only
sees the final film when it gets released.
On the occasion of Army Day,
Sushant Singh Rajput announced his next project. The actor is all set to play a
soldier in the upcoming film titled Rifleman. The movie is all about “An
advancing enemy. A Border to protect. One Braveheart. Rifleman.” The film will
be produced by Abundantia Entertainment and Pooja Entertainment.
Sushant Singh Rajput is fresh out
of the success of Kedarnath. He is happy with the audience response to the
film. When an actor’s work gets appreciated then it feels good because through
that he gets an encouragement.
Sushant is busy with multiple
projects. The actor also has Kizie Aur Manny and Nitesh Tiwari directorial
Chhichore in his kitty.
But Sushant’s fans are eager to see
him holding a rifle in his hand. Looks like the actor has left his cricket bat
to hold a rifle to protect the border and also rule the box-office with so many
projects in his kitty.
