Developers regret having invested on NAINA areas?
By Dinesh Kamath

PANVEL: The developers who have invested on Navi Mumbai Airport Influence Notified Area (NAINA) areas feel relieved about the fact that the election are over since now they feel that the corporation and CIDCO will focus on development of 23 villages in Panvel tehsil.
These developers are persuading City and Industrial Development Corporation to come up with a perfect development plan for these areas where they have purchased lands.
These developers are looking forward to discussing in details issues relating to high development charges, early clearances, clearance from the ministry of environment and coastal regulatory zone etc.
The problem is that in spite of CIDCO Board having approved the development plan, there was no time available to work on this plan owing to Lok Sabha elections and Maharashtra assembly polls. But now that these elections are over, the developers are feeling relieved and harbouring hopes that their problems related to NAINA areas will be soon solved.

Many developers of Navi Mumbai have invested heavily on NAINA areas since they expected to gain huge profits. But the town planning agency is trying to come up with international class development over here owing to which high charges are being levied. These areas are so backward that they need infrastructure right from the scratch. So now the developers who have invested in these areas are hoping that the town planning department comes up with a plan that will give the developers the urgently needed relief and not make them regret that they have invested here.
