NMMC’s mission
proves to be a success

NAVI MUMBAI: Two to three months back,
Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation had taken up one mission “Save Revenue, Save
Tree (Environment) Save Power” - three in one.
Today NMMC has achieved success, although the mission
got delayed for some technical reason. NMMC has succeeded in reducing the
height of almost 80 to 90 poles in Sector 29, Vashi to enable more light to
fall on the road and also save power. NMMC also achieved success in saving
environment without cutting any tree, and saved revenue without increasing the
quantity of poles.
In this above mission, commissioner of NMMC Mr.
Dinesh Waghmare IAS , Addl. Commissioner of NMMC Mr. Ankush Chavan / Mr.
Surendra Patil, Addl. city engineer Mr. Sunil lad and entire team of electrical department took
active part to make this mission a success. Credit should also go to
Commissioner of NMMC Mr. Dinesh Waghmare, IAS, who was responsible for coming
up with such a vision for Navi Mumbai.
