Kaala

Kaala (lit. Black) is a 2018 Indian Tamil-language political gangster film set in Dharavi, Mumbai. It is an action film written and directed by Pa. Ranjith and produced by Dhanush under his banner Wunderbar Films. Starring Rajinikanth in the lead role, the film was announced in 2016.
Set in Mumbai, Kaala is a crime drama, which showcases the story of a man from Tirunelveli, who migrates to Mumbai, and eventually emerges as a virtuous gangster in the Dharavi slums. Director Pa. Ranjith also highlights the sufferings of Tamil migrants in Mumbai who are often victims of discrimination. ‘Kaala’ tells the tale of a young Tamilian named Kaala Karikalan from Tirunelveli, who becomes a big-shot don in Mumbai. It was Rajinikanth’s idea to choose Dharavi as the setting. In the film, Rajinikanth is tipped to be a playing a slumlord of sorts, who will be seen fighting for the rights of Tamil people in Dharavi. Ranjith has played quite well with colour. Rajinikanth is clad in absolute black, while Nana Patekar is given a white-shade. Black, as we know, mostly symbolises evil. But Ranjith is trying to address a more important issue in ‘Kaala’. At least. ‘Kaala’ is very likely to emerge as one of the biggest hits this year. One of the main highlights of ‘Kaala’ is its ensemble cast that boasts of some big names in the industry. In ‘Kaala’, Rajinikanth plays his age and has been paired opposite Eswari Rao, who reportedly plays his wife named Selvi. On the other hand, the Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi is reported to be playing Rajinikanth’s ex-lover named Zareena. Interestingly, a picture of Rajinikanth with Zareena’s name as a tattoo went viral on the internet. The romance between Zareena and Kaala Karikalan is handled very beautifully. But the interesting choice is to cast veteran actor Nana Patekar as the prime antagonist. Nana Patekar seems to play a cunning politician, who’s pitted against Rajini in this one.
The film has Rajinikanth as Karikaalan "Kaala", Nana Patekar as Haridev Abhayankar "Hari Dhadha", Huma Qureshi as Zareena, Samuthirakani as Vaaliyappan "Vaaliyappa", Eswari Rao as Selvi, Anjali Patil as Charumathi Gaekwad (Puyal), Dileepan as Selvam, Karikaalan's son, Nitish Veera as Karikaalan's son, Manikandan as Lenin, Karikaalan's son, Aruldoss as MLA, Aravind Akash as Sivaji Rao Gaekwad, Sayaji Shinde as Minister, Sampath Raj as Vishnu "Vishnu Bhai", Ravi Kale as Sunil, Pankaj Tripathi as Pankaj Patil, Arundhati as Kaala's daughter-in-law, Sakshi Agarwal as Karikaalan's daughter-in-law and Ramesh Thilak as Reporter.
The film has songs like "Bahut Bhaari Hai", "Sajna", "Sone Ki Tu Ek Murat", "Nikkal Nikkal", "Inqulab Ke Liye", "Dharti Pe Haq Hai", "Sadkon Ke Deepak" and "Ik Sar Waale Raavana".

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is a 2018 American science fiction adventure film directed by J. A. Bayona. The film is the sequel to Jurassic World (2015) and is the fifth installment of the Jurassic Park film series, as well as the second installment of a planned Jurassic World trilogy. The film features Derek Connolly and Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow both returning as writers, with Trevorrow and original Jurassic Park director Steven Spielberg acting as executive producers. Set on the fictional island of Isla Nublar, off Central America's pacific coast, the plot follows Owen Grady and Claire Dearing as they must rescue the remaining dinosaurs on the island before a volcanic eruption destroys it. Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, B. D. Wong, and Jeff Goldblum reprise their roles from previous films in the series, with Rafe Spall, Justice Smith, Daniella Pineda, James Cromwell, Toby Jones, Ted Levine, Isabella Sermon and Geraldine Chaplin joining the cast.
Three years have passed since the events of Jurassic World, and the dinosaurs have been left to their own devices on Isla Nublar. To be honest, this feels like the best situation for both humans and dinosaurs given their vibrant history of not getting along. Unfortunately for the dinosaurs there’s a volcano on Nublar with different ideas and is threatening to wipe them out for good (again). Rather than take that as a sign that these creatures definitely should not exist, the humans decide to meddle once more and mount a rescue mission. From there you may think you know where the film is headed but Fallen Kingdom is all about playing with those expectations and taking you to places you wouldn’t expect. There are echoes of his previous works such as The Impossible (big old natural disaster) and The Orphanage (creepy old secret-filled house) in Fallen Kingdom but more impressive is how it draws on further inspirations like Alfred Hitchcock and Hammer horror style suspense.
The film has Chris Pratt as Owen Grady, a Navy veteran, former dinosaur trainer for Jurassic World, and Claire Dearing's boyfriend. Bryce Dallas Howard as Claire Dearing, Jurassic World's former operations manager who is now a dinosaur-rights activist and has founded the Dinosaur Protection Group in order to evacuate the surviving dinosaurs from Isla Nublar. Owen Grady’s girlfriend. Rafe Spall as Eli Mills, Lockwood's ambitious right-hand man who hires Owen and Claire to rescue the dinosaurs. Speaking of his character’s actions over the course of the film, Spall noted that “Ambition is such a powerful emotion, you can get wrapped up in it and end up doing things in order to succeed. This character believes he is doing right. He has been entrusted with pushing Lockwood’s fortune into the future and making it survive after he dies. Mills feels he is simply doing what he was asked to do.” Justice Smith as Franklin Webb, a former IT technician for Jurassic World who is now the Dinosaur Protection Group's systems analyst and hacker. Daniella Pineda as Dr. Zia Rodriguez, a former Marine who is now the Dinosaur Protection Group's paleoveterinarian. James Cromwell as Sir Benjamin Lockwood, John Hammond's former partner in developing the technology to clone dinosaurs. Toby Jones as Gunnar Eversoll, an auctioneer host at Lockwood Estate who sells the Isla Nublar dinosaurs for profit. In an interview, Jones likened his character to that of “a rogue arms dealer; he sees profits in selling these creatures as weapons. He is totally morally neutral about whatever he is selling. He is only interested in whether or not it will make him a profit.” Ted Levine as Ken Wheatley, a seasoned mercenary who is in command of the rescue operation on Isla Nublar. B. D. Wong as Dr. Henry Wu, the former head geneticist of Jurassic World and the original Jurassic Park. Isabella Sermon as Maisie Lockwood, the granddaughter of Benjamin Lockwood. Geraldine Chaplin as Iris, the housekeeper of the Lockwood Estate, Maisie Lockwood's nanny, and keeper of the family's secrets. Jeff Goldblum as Dr. Ian Malcolm, an expert in chaos theory who once consulted for InGen's Jurassic Park.
