This time, she romances southern star Rana Daggubati. It is third time lucky for the pair who missed out on working with each other in Dum Maaro Dum and Department. Though Rana Daggubati is shooting for Department and Kangana is tied up with I Luv NY and the Ishqiya sequel, both loved the script so much that they readily gave dates for the film. The film, directed by Rajshree Ojha and produced by Pritish Nandy Communications Ltd, will have a very international and urban vibe to it. People who have loved Kangna in Tanu Weds Manu are going to love this film even more. It's a very different take on love. Also, Kangana will be given a very modern look in this one. Failing to accommodate both the films, Kangna had to let go of one offer. She had a very strong performance oriented role in Vishal's project. Thus, the actress chose Ishqiya over Ramu's film.
Though Kangna has moved out of Department, she still is in great terms with Ramu and Sanjay. The actress is also keeping her fingers crossed, as she hopes to work with them in the future. Though she tried her best, she couldn't accommodate both the films and had to let go of one. Since she is a big fan of Vishal Bhardwaj and Abhishek Chaubey (the director), she chose Ishqiya. Her refusal to do item number offered to her by Sajid Khan for Houseful 2 has not surprised her fans who are aware of the fact that she had earlier also refused to do the item number that Jacqueline Fernandez did in the original Houseful.
