NAVI MUMBAI: An illegal construction of ‘Hira International
Islamic University’ is in progress on at Chandragiri, Andhra Pradesh near Shri
Tirupati temple which is an eminent seat of faith of Hindus. This construction
is being carried out on the land belonging to Shri Thimappa (Shri Vishnu) temple of Hindus , and 7 storeys of the university have
been built without securing the permission. Agitation by all pro-Hindu
organizations and organizations having similar ideology was conducted in Navi
Mumbai at Gulab Sons Dairy Chowk, Sector 15, Koparkhairane demanding immediate
stoppage of the construction of the university in order to prevent any possible
conflict in the future as a result of establishment of this university.
Similarly,
a demand has been made to take action against the persons guilty for this
illegal construction and those providing finances for the construction, by
instituting inquiry against them as Government did not take into consideration
the views of Spiritual leaders, Spiritual organizations and Warkaris before
issuing the Anti-Hindu black-magic bill ordinance. Hence all organizations have
protested and objected the bill.
Vishwa
Hindu Parishad, Youth For Trial Welfare, Yog Vedanta Samiti, Shivsena, Sanatan
Sanstha and Hindu Janjgruti Samiti organizations have participated in this
Agitation.
The
permission to construct this university ahs not been sought even from ‘Tirupati
Urban Development Authority’ at Chandragiri, which is at the distance of 13
kilometers. A demand has been made that construction work of the university
should be immediately stopped in view of the danger posed to Shri Tirupati
Mandir and to protect the sanctity of the place. The protestors have asked the
Government whether it would dare to establish a Hindu
University at ‘Mecca ’
or ‘Vatican ’.
The protestors also demanded that justice be given to
riot-affected Hindus at Mujaffar Nagar, people in Uttar Pradesh who are
affected by 104 communal riots that took place there and to promptly
rehabilitate victimized Hindus.
