Awesome participation for BVIMED Healthy Youth for Healthy India extravaganza

NAVI MUMBAI: The NSS division of Bharati Vidyapeeth Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship Development (BVIMED), Navi Mumbai had organized a special NSS Winter Camp at Narivaligaon, located in Thane rural area on the theme “Healthy Youth for Healthy India”. The program has witnessed the wholehearted involvement of the gram panchayat, teaching and non teaching staff and the student volunteers of BVIMED.

This special camp was inaugurated by the Dr. D. Y. Patil, the director of Bharati Vidyapeeth Institute of Management Studies and Research in the presence of Sow. Shashikala Patil (Sarpanch of the Gram Panchayat), Prof. (Dr.) Vaishali Patil (HOD, BVIMIT), Shri. Laxmanrao Patil (renowned social worker), Shri. Sawalaram Mhatre (the upsarpanch), Dr. Agarwal (Bharati Vidyapeeth Dental College), senior citizens of village and a large number of NSS Volunteers.

Under the benevolent guidance of NSS Programme Officer Prof. Kuldeep Bhalerao the camp underlined the various inspirational programmes to motivate and guide the youth to contribute effectively for the national development. The camp also emphasized on free dental check up and necessary advice, career guidance etc. The program also comprised of ecological concern issues like village cleaning, tree plantation. The camp also emphasized on competency development program for the youth like computer and internet awareness for school children.

Personal hygiene is also a vital issue for a healthy civilization which was also addressed involving villagers and school children by way of shramdan and social awareness programs. Various intellectual and inspiring lectures were also organised to develop the personality of the students and their holistic development to make them a better and social enlighten citizens of India.

The program was also marked by the praiseworthy contributions from Prof. Milind Meshram, Prof. Milind Kadam, Prof. Puja Kadam and Prof. Ritu Goswami. Prof. (Dr.) Raman Kumar Saily Prof. Anilkumar Deshmukh, Prof. S. S. Ranjan and Social Worker Shri.Laxmanrao Patil supported all the way for conducting special winter camp at Narvaligaon.

Thus the main features of this event were: It inspired youth for national development, there were programs on career guidance, health and environment and there was enthusiastic participation from village panchayat, faculty members and students alike.
