NAVI MUMBAI: “In
spite of the Delhi debacle of Bharatiya Janata Party, the entry of new members
into BJP in Navi Mumbai has not stopped at all. I am totally unaware about
whether talks are going on between Navi Mumbai’s Nationalist Congress Party’s
leader and former minister Ganesh Naik and higher authorities of BJP. I have no
idea whether Naik is harbouring any intention to join BJP,” said BJP’s regional
spokesman Madhav Bhandari at a press conference held at CBD. He also said that
he was unaware about whether Shiv Sena, BJP and Congress were to join hands to
defeat NCP in Navi Mumbai.
Madhav Bhandari spoke to the pressmen about the internal
problems of Navi Mumbai and the politicals adjustments that might take place.
Present during this occasion were Belapur’s MLA Manda
Mhatre, BJP’s district president C V Reddy, general secretary Ramchandra
Gharat, office bearers Maruti Bhoir, Bhagwanrao Dakne and others.
Madhav Bhandari gave credit to Manda Mhatre for playing a
significant role in persuading the Chief Minister to sanction 2.5 FSI for those
dilapidated and dangerous CIDCO-constructed buildings in Navi Mumbai. He said
that what Congress-NCP alliance could not achieve in 15 years, BJP government
did it within 100 days after it came to power. “No party other than BJP can
take credit for introduction of 2.5 FSI in Navi Mumbai,” he said. He expressed
that he was sure that during the forthcoming Municipal Election, BJP in Navi
Mumbai is bound to triumph and capture most seats in Navi Mumbai Municipal

Modi and NCP Chief Sharad Pawar, he said that the meeting was to discuss about
some new research that is taking place in the field of agriculture.
