NAVI MUMBAI: February
23, 2015, was the birthday of Nirankari Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj’s 61st
birthday and His devotees celebrated the day as Guru Puja Diwas with great
devotion and dedication.
Ahead of the auspicious day, on Sunday 22 February, the
Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation (SNCF) carried out a country-wide
cleanliness drive described as ‘Swachh Pani – Swasth Prani’ i.e. ‘Clean Water –
Healthy Being’.
In Navi Mumbai, Panvel and Uran Cities thousands of
devotees trooped out of their houses in the wee hours of the morning, equipped
with cleaning equipments to clean up several public places as also to plant
trees at prominent places. The places included (1) Sagar Vihar (Vashi) cleaning
and tree plantation (2) Talao at Turbhe Gaon, Chincholi Talao at Shirwane and Talao
at Nerul Sector 18 (3) Various colonies around the Satsang Bhavan at Sanpada
(4) Agroli Gaon Talao at CBD Belapur (5) Kalamboli Bus Depot (6) Khandeshwar
Talao and colonies near Shankar Mandir at New Panvel and (7) New English
School, Hanuman Koliwada Marathi School at Uran and colonies near Satsang
Bhawan at Uran Koliwada.
All the activities were carried out with due permission,
cooperation and support of the local authorities. While visiting the campaign
at Nerul Palm Beach Talao Deputy Mayor of Navi Mumbai Ashok Gawade appreciated
the Missions services towards humanity.
On 24 February the members of the Sant Nirankari Sewa Dal
held rallies and organized special congregations to highlight the message of
the Mission.
