Rev. Mata Kanta Lamba of
Sant Nirankari Mandal leaves for her heavenly abode

MUMBAI: Rev.
Mata Kanta Lamba, Zonal - Incharge of Sant Nirankari Mandal, Mumbai Zone left
for her eternal abode on Monday, 2 November 2015 due to old age. She was 91.
She is survived with three daughters, son-in-laws and grand children who are
settled in Canada.
Born in Lahore (now in Pakistan) on 6th May, 1924 Smt. Kanta
Ji was married to Shri Vyasdev Lamba Ji, resident of Peshwar (now in Pakistan)
in 1943 at the age of 19. Shri Vyasdev
Ji was known as Rishi Ji who had served the Sant Nirankari Mission throughout
his life and was holding the responsibility of Zonal Incharge of Southern Zone
of the Mandal.
After he left for
his heavenly abode in 1986 Rev. Krishnlal took over as Zonal Incharge of Mumbai
and after him Rev.Bhagat Kotumal was holding the responsibility for some
period.
In 1995, the
responsibility of Mumbai Zonal Incharge was placed on her shoulders on which
she dedicatedly performed for around 20 years, till her last breath, yesterday.
Rev. Mata Kanta Ji lived a simple and saintly life having
immense faith in the Formless God, Nirankar and paid unfaultered obedience to
the Nirankari Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj by carrying out his teachings
herself and played a lead role in making others to do so. She was an
inspiration to all, especially to the women folk of the Mission not only in
Mumbai but all over Maharashtra and nearby states.
