NAVI MUMBAI: Hindu Janjagruti Samiti’s
campaign to stop insulting the National Flag has received great response from
schools in Navi Mumbai.
Mini National Flags are manufactured in big number
during Independence Day and Republic Day. Citizens of our country are found
purchasing these flags and then when the event is over throw them away anywhere
on the street. This is a grave insult to our National Flag. Even wearing
garments made of National Flag, painting the body with colourful National Flag
designs, cutting the cake which is carved like a National Flag and other ways
of insulting the National Flag should stop. This is what Hindu Janjagruti
Samiti are trying to convey to the public. ‘Stop insulting the National Flag’ –
this is their slogan.
Like every year, HJS carried out this campaign this
time too in 40 schools, two colleges and three tehsildars. The students
particularly were asked to stop this practice of insulting the National Flag.
The schools which participated in this campaign in a
big way were Rayat Sihikshan Sanstha’s school in Kamothe and some schools in
Ulwe and Uran. There were also exhibitions and rallies related to the slogan ‘Stop
insulting the National Flag’ in schools. Even HJS members have created
awareness among public by making use of Whatsapp, Facebook, videos etc.
