We
are in need of better roads, say KK residents

NAVI MUMBAI: Some residents
of Koparkhairane spoke about the urgent need for proper interior roads in their
area. The roads in this region are not up to the mark and this had become very
evident during the recent rainy season when the rain water would constantly get
flooded on on the muddy, uneven roads leading to the buildings of these
residents.
Koperkhairane also
consists of posh locality and the strange thing is that even the residents of
these localities find the roads in their area very problematic. They did lodge
complaints to the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) but in vain. NMMC
just does not seem to possess any intentions of taking action in this
direction. The residents feel that NMMC should not only pay attention to the main
roads but they should also do something drastic about the interior roads.
These residents of
Koperkhairane were promised better interior roads once the construction of
gutters’ channels was completed. But the promise is yet to be kept. Now these
residents are waiting for the new MLA to get elected after which they intend to
approach the civic body with their problem relating to roads once again.
