Meritorious students to be
awarded tablets

NAVI MUMBAI: Kharghar grampanchayat, which is considered as
the richest panchayat, will award tablets to all the SSC and HSC students who
scored over 85% in the board exams. Last year, it had distributed 57 laptops to
children scoring over 90% in both SSC and HSC exams. This time laptops are
replaced by tablets. This is one panchayat which not only encourages
meritorious students but also works in the direction of empowering women,
particularly widows, helping poor and backward students and lending a helping
hand to disabled persons.
