KHARGHAR: ITM, where young aspirants dream come true, hosted a session by Sanjay Bhatia, Vice Chairman and MD of CIDCO, for students to learn the techniques to check stress, a major hassle in getting dream come true for many professionals.

While speaking on the occasion, Sanjay Bhatia said, “Gone are the days where relaxation for professionals are just zoning out in front of the TV at the end of a stressful day. It is high time to realize that this does nothing to reduce the damaging effects of stress. The professionals should learn the techniques of relaxation as early as possible to effectively combat stress”.

Mr. Bhatia, an EX. IAS Officer with 28 years experience in service has delivered a session on the ‘techniques for right living through relaxation and meditation’.  He is presently working as Vice Chairman & Managing director, CIDCO which is responsible for Planning and Development of Navi Mumbai and other New Towns in Maharashtra including special projects like Metro, Navi Mumbai International Airport etc.

In his session he explained about a variety of stress management techniques that involve controlling body’s responses to stress or anxiety through meditation. He also stressed on the importance of daily practice to acquire mastery of these techniques. People who meditate regularly report improvements physically, mentally, and spiritually.

An audience of 400 comprising of staff and students took an oath to carry forward the message of "right living through relaxation and meditative techniques".
