Dinesh Kamath's Editorial 'Dhoni had no equal' that was published in Newsband

Dhoni had no equal
Mahendra Singh Dhoni is the most dashing, flamboyant, cool and calculating cricketer. There was no better captain in the game’s shorter forms than Dhoni during his time. He is the only skipper to have won all three major trophies — the World Cup, the World Twenty20 and the Champions Trophy.
Dhoni had no equal. He had an intuitive feel for what could happen and the ability to get the best out of his resources.  His greatest strength was his nerve. MSD had done a good thing by demitting the Captaincy and left the post with all grace and allowed the younger one whom he had groomed - VIrat Kohli
His composure and discipline motivated everyone in the team especially the young ones. His captaincy relinquishment not only left Kohli with humongous responsibility to manage the Indian team but also carry on the spirit of sports in which the young India's motivation depends on. Hope Kohli will become another Dhoni.
The circumstances in which Dhoni assumed captaincy were not very favourable, particularly when many players were reluctant to participate in world T20 championship. He used the opportunity not only to cement his place in the team but also as one of the best captains in Indian cricket with least controversies.
Dhoni is the greatest captain India has had so far. His cool nature and electrifying performances are unforgettable. He has brought laurels to Indian cricket in all its form. He deserves every appreciation for his cool attitude both as a captain and a player. He knows how to change a game from crisis to victory and in most of the matches as captain he tasted victory.

Normally we can find every captain losing his temper on misfieldings and catch drops. But Dhoni was never found firing an erring player. He has the ability to motivate his team and very rarely he is poor in his form and his acumen in the game is beyond assessment. Now he steps down and it is the right decision and he must continue his performance as a good keeper and exhort the new captain.
