2019 might prove to be a good year for Sonakshi Sinha

Sonakshi Sinha wrapped up the shooting of Abhishek Varman’s Kalank. The actress will be seen in Indra Kumar’s Total Dhamaal, in which she will be recreating Helen’s 1978 classic song Mungda.

Sonakshi Sinha is also known for her special numbers in films like All Is Well (Nachan Farrate), OMG- Oh My God! (Go Go Go Govinda), Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se (Rafta Rafta) and others

This song Mungda is super special for Sonakshi because it is a recreation of Helen’s superhit track and yesteryear classic Mungda. Sonakshi loves dancing. But she was under a lot of pressure while filming the song. Helen’s grace and charm are unmatched but the version in which Sonakshi is dancing is a dance number with spruced-up music, lots of choreography and it’s nothing like the original song. Another thing is Sonakshi Sinha will be seen shaking a leg with Ajay Devgn. The actress is excited to be sharing screen space again with Ajay after Son of Sardar and Action Jackson. Sonakshi Sinha wrapped up the shooting of period drama film Kalank directed by Abhishek Varman co-starring Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sanjay Dutt, and Madhuri Dixit. Last, Sonakshi Sinha was seen in the 2018 film Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi. The actress was recently shooting in Amritsar for Mrighdeep Lamba’s untitled comedy film.

Total Dhamaal is a sequel to the 2011 film Double Dhamaal and the third installment of the Dhamaal film series starring Ajay Devgn, Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, Johnny Lever, Arshad Warsi, Javed Jaffrey, Riteish Deshmukh and others in lead roles.

Sonakshi Sinha started her acting career in Bollywood in 2010 with Salman Khan’s blockbuster cop film Dabangg. After Dabangg, her life changed completely. Dabangg will always be the most special to her.

During the year ahead, in 2019, the audience will see Sonakshi narrating different stories. The actress will be seen in Abhishek Varman's period drama Kalank, and then in India's first space film Mission Mangal. She is currently shooting for an yet-untitled film in Amritsar. Directed by Shilpi Dasgupta and jointly produced by T-Series and Mrighdeep Lamba. She will end the year with Dabangg 3.

Actress Sonakshi Sinha has thus started shooting for her next film directed by Shilpi Dasgupta and jointly produced by T-Series and Lamba. Lamba is popularly known for writing and directing comedies like Fukrey and Fukrey Returns. Both films had Varun Sharma essaying the role of "Coocha". This will be Lamba's third collaboration with the actor, albeit as the film's producer this time.

Sonakshi was last seen in the 2018 comedy film Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi. The film was a sequel to Diana Penty's Happy Bhag Jayegi. Sonakshi recently wrapped up shoot for the multi-starrer film Kalank. Produced by Karan Johar, the film will also feature Alia Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt, Varun Dhawan, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Sonakshi and Aditya Roy Kapur in pivotal roles.
