Rahul Gandhi attacks PM once again
Congress president Rahul Gandhi accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of treason, saying he should be booked under the Official Secrets Act for sharing information about the Rafale deal with industrialist Anil Ambani. Gandhi released to the media an email dated March 28, 2015 purportedly written by Airbus executive Nicolas Chamussy to three recipients with the subject line ‘Ambani.’ According to Mr. Gandhi, it was earlier an issue of corruption, of procedural inconsistencies but was now a matter related to the Official Secrets Act which he said was “much more serious” and Modi should be behind bars for this. “This is now treason, nothing less. Mr. Modi is doing what spies do. He is informing somebody of defence matters, he is under oath to protect,” he said.
When questioned about the land deal by his brother-in-law Robert Vadra, Gandhi said that he welcomes all the investigations about his family members as long as the government also allows investigations into the Rafale deal.
The Reliance Defence spokesperson in a statement said the email that Gandhi referred to related to a discussion between Airbus and Reliance Defence regarding Civil and Defence Helicopter Programs under ‘Make in India.” It had no connection whatsoever with Government to Government Agreement between France and India for 36 Rafale aircraft,
The very fact that Gandhi says the public will decide shows even the Congress is convinced that their arguments will not hold in front of the law. Thier only aim is to create nosie and confusion and gain political mileage. When asked if the Congress will file an FIR based on this 'information', he said his party would rather go to the public and let them be the judge. It really translates to 'We do not have proofs for support in the court, so let us make public (May) fool'. It is a standard practice in Indian politics now-a-days.
The more RG tries to talk, lesser will it benefit Congress. They have anything to talk on their vision, plans and more importantly their ideas to prevent corruption, bureaucracy and scams. Without any proofs, he is shouting about the scam and putting the national defense secrets at risk in front of the world. Even the France has to make the statement in Public. Seems no other allegation left for the Congress party against the most honest Modi Government. He can go to the poor public and tell this nonsense and public who are not even aware about the laws and Supreme Court, not even LS or RS must believe him. But if you ask any single educated person in India, he will not believe his lies. This shameful acts actually will even help Modi government to win the election.
A responsible people's representative should talk with proper proof to demand PM's trial. Media is blowing Rafale issue out of proportion to mislead the public. Aim is to prevent Modi a second term. Hundred lies don't make truth. Gandhiji aptly said ‘Satyameva Jayate’. Hope we get continued good governance under Modi's leadership.
In our country, elections aren't won on governance and development but on emotions, and that's how the opposition parties are trying to swing the polls in their favour.
