Bang
Bang!
Bang Bang! is a Hindi action thriller film directed by Siddharth
Anand and produced by Fox Star Studios. The film is an official remake of the Hollywood
film Knight and Day and features Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles performed by Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz respectively in the original. Fox
Star Studios will distribute and market the film worldwide.
The movie has an
interesting plot. A girl (Katrina Kaif)
gets involved with a spy (Hrithik Roshan)
trying to clear his name.
Bang Bang! is a high voltage film involving stunts, exotic
international locales and music. It is an adaption of the Hollywood film Knight and Day. A chance encounter between the unassuming bank receptionist Harleen Sahni (Katrina Kaif) and the charming-yet-mysterious Rajveer Nanda (Hrithik Roshan) results in a barrage of broken down planes, car
chases, shootouts, bombing raids and general global mayhem. A transcontinental
chase ensues with Rajveer trying to
convince Harleen that he’s the good
guy but can she really trust him? And will trust matter when bullets start
flying around? This film has edge-of-the-seat excitement and adrenaline pumping
action as the duo fights against all odds. There are explosions, trigger happy
assassins and pandemonium that can only aptly be termed as Bang Bang!
The film has Hrithik
Roshan as Rajveer
Nanda, Katrina Kaif as Harleen Sahni, Danny Denzongpa as Omar Zafar,
Jaaved Jaffrey as Hamid Gul, Pawan Malhotra
as Zorawar, Parth Akerkar as Robert,
Kishan Gohel as Parker and Préity Üupala as
Bar Dancer.
The songs of the film
are composed by Vishal-Shekhar; whilst
the background score is composed by Salim-Sulaiman.
The film has songs like Tu Meri, Meherbaan, Uff, Bang Bang and Meherbaan (Reprise version).
Haider
Haider is a 2014 Indian drama film directed by Vishal
Bhardwaj, and co-written by Basharat
Peer and Bhardwaj. It is a modern-day adaptation of William
Shakespeare's Hamlet, set in Kashmir. The film
stars Shahid Kapoor as Haider, and Tabu essays the role of his mother who marries her
brother-in-law (played by Kay Kay Menon)
after her husband mysteriously disappears. The film also stars Shraddha
Kapoor as Arshia,
a journalist by profession and Haider's love-interest.
Vishal Bhardwaj’s Haider
is set in Srinagar during the ’90s. Shahid Kapoor plays Haider who returns to
his hometown, Kashmir after he receives the news that his father, Roohdaar (Irrfan Khan), has gone missing. Tabu plays the role of Haider’s mother, Ghazala.
Irrfan Khan (Roohdar) plays a doctor who provides shelter to injured militants
in his own house. Soon the house is blown up, and Haider’s father goes missing. After returning to Kashmir, Haider realises that the security forces
have abducted his father for shielding militants. He also comes to know that
his mother has married his Chacha (Kay
Kay Menon) after his father goes missing. Haider soon learns that his father is no
more and intense drama follows as the mother and son come to terms with this.
Following this, Haider comes to know
the person responsible for his father’s death. What will Haider do now? Well, you have to watch the film to find it out.
Thus the film has Shahid
Kapoor as Haider,
Tabu as Ghazala, Haider's mother,
Irrfan Khan as Roohdar, Haider's father, Kay Kay Menon as Khurram, Haider's uncle, Shraddha Kapoor as Arshia, Narendra
Jha, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Lalit Parimoo, Ashish Vidyarthi, Aamir Bashir, Sumit
Kaul and Rajat Bhagat.
The original songs and
score of the film are composed by Vishal Bharadwaj. All lyrics are written by Gulzar, except the tracks Gulon Mein Rang Bhare and Aaj
Ke Naam which were penned by Pakistani poet Faiz Ahmed Faiz.
The film has songs like Aao Na sung by Vishal Dadlani, Bismil
