Grand Finale Celebrated

VASHI: Lions Peace Poster is an
International Contest. This contest is a wonderful opportunity for clubs to
work with youth in their community to stress the importance of Peace, Tolerance
and International Understanding. The contest encourages young people ages
between 11 to 13 to think about peace, creatively express what it means to them
and to share their own unique visions with the world.
Ln Dr Namita A Mishra, DC Peace Poster, organized
Grand Finale of peace Poster Contest at Hotel Abbott at Vashi where all the
winning entries were displayed from different school with the Theme “Share
Peace” by the boys and girls of different ages between 11- 13 years.
Overall 53 clubs participated. This year total 63
Peace Poster Activities were organized which is a record in the History of the
District. The biggest over Single contest was organized with 800 participants
under one roof.
All participating Club Presidents were honoured by
Peace Poster trophy specially made to order. Two eminent judges from J J School
of Arts were appointed to judge the entries
Peace Poster Finale was formally inaugurated by DG Ln
Nitin Shetty. A panorama of activities was also displayed in the form of a
Collage, it was unveiled by DG.
It was a Grand function well attended by Chief Guest
and DG Ln Nitin Shetty, 1st VDG Ln Subhash Bhalwal and 2nd VDG Ln Hanuman
Agarwal. MCS Ln Santosh Chauhan from Dist 323 A-1 and PDG and MDC Ln Ashok
Joshi alongwith Micro Members, DC’s, Lions and Lionesses.
Program was well appreciated by one and all and
everyone congratulated and complimented Ln Dr Namita Mishra for record breaking
work and organizing function in a professional meaner.
Ln Dr Namita thanked everyone for their support.
