NAVI MUMBAI: In all, 116 Nirankaris
donated blood enthusiastically at a Blood Donation Camp organized by Sant
Nirankari Charitable Foundation at Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan, Airoli,
Sector-1, Navi Mumbai on Sunday, 3rd July, 2016. It was a 3rd Camp in a period
of just one month in Navi Mumbai. The earlier two were organized at Kharghar at
Vashi on 26th June wherein 155 and 113 Nirankaris donated their blood
respectively.
The blood collection was done by the Sant Nirankari
Blood Bank, Vile Parle, Mumbai.
The blood donation camp was inaugurated by local
Corporator Shri Anant Sutar. While Shri Sandeep Naik MLA and Corporator Smt. Shashikala
Sutar visited the camp. All of them appreciated the Mission’s teachings based
on humanity and valued contribution through selfless services towards the
Society.
Dr. R. S. Yadav, Medical In-charge of Mumbai Zone of
the Mandal and Shri Manohar Sawant, Sector Sanyojak of SNM, Vashi Sector were
present on the occasion. Local Mukhi Shri Balasaheb Chavan and Local Sewa Dal
Sanchalak Shri Shyam Singh made necessary arrangements for the camp with the
help of Sewa Dal Volunteers of Unit No.538.
Tree
Plantation:
Earlier on 1st July Sant Nirankari Charitable
Foundation participated in the Mega Tree Plantation Drive by Government of
Maharashtra at several Places including Navi Mumbai, Vile Parle and Andheri. The
SNCF, Project Affected Women Front and the Dnyan Vikas Educational Institute
carried out a combined Tree Plantation Drive at the ground of Dnyan Vikas
College, behind Maheshwari Hall, Sector 23, Koparkhairane, Navi Mumbai. A 2 km
rally to propagate the message of Environment was also organized in which
around 500 students participated.
This programme was guided by Smt. Jayashritai Patil,
President, Project Affected Women Front. President of Dnyan Vikas Institute
Adv.P.C. Patil, Vice President Shri Gajanan Patil, Secretary Shri Moreshwar
Patil and other Directors and teachers of the Institute were present on the
occasion. Corporator Smt. Chhaya Keshav Mhatre and Ex-Corporator Keshav Mhatre
were also present at the venue. Shri Manohar Sawant, Sector Sanyojak of SNM,
Vashi and local Mukhi Shri Arjun Agaskar were present on the occasion along
with SNCF and Sewa Dal Volunteers.
