NAVI MUMBAI: The Centennial year for
District 323 A 2 started with a big Bang under the dynamic leadership of
District Governor Ln Subhash Bhalwal. 72 Lions and Lionesses attended 99th
International Convention at Fukuoka Japan
On his Welcome Home he received Warm Welcome at Sahar
International Airport. On his Welcome Home function VDG 1 Ln Hanuman Agarwal
and VDG 2 Ln Paul organised Car Rally from Tunga Hotel to Cidco Convention
Center. All the cars were very well decorated with Balloons and Lions Banners.
DG Ln Subhash Bhalwal was the First DG who got the privilege & pride to
Inaugurate and Launch Centennial Torch and Van along with Past International
President Ln Dr Ashok Mehta.
Activities worth 46.5 Lakh were carried out during
first week of July itself. Function was very well attended by 630 Lion,
Lionesses and Leos. On this occasion Seven New Leo Clubs and One New Lions Club
were announced.
Out of Eight New Clubs Two clubs were extended by
Lions Club of Palm Beach Oceanic under the leadership of Incoming President
Lion Dr Alok Kumar Mishra and Extension Chairperson Ln Dr Namita Mishra and Ln
Utpal Samanta. Mesmerizing Cultural program was presented by Leos with Japanese
theme.
DG shared his experience of Japan and informed about
new amendments and Plans and Policies of Lions International. Everybody was
fully charged by his motivating and encouraging words and promised DG to join
hands together in his endeavour to take District to a Newer Heights and add
many more feathers. Everybody thanked VDG 1 and VDG 2 for their excellent
planning execution of the whole show alongwith their Micro team as informed by
Lion PRO Ln Dr Namita A Mishra.
