Shah is confident of winning
BJP president Amit Shah has expressed the confidence that the government
led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi would be re-elected with an increased
majority. Shah asserted that compared with 2014, the BJP would increase their
seats, improve their margins of victory as well, and also expand in terms of
the areas that they represent.
Right to contest only emanates if the nominee is a good citizen; if not
he can be treated as bad citizen even if his nomination if accepted violates
Constituttion.
BJP Had secured 282 seats on its own on account of tall promises but not
maintained. It’s now the power of people through the ballot to have their say.
Every political party is hoping to do well in Lok Sabha election. Hence
optimism of BJP President about outcome of the election is okay. There was a
time when the Congress party was in power everywhere and it was perhaps the
only or biggest beneficiary of division of votes in almost all multi-cornered
contests. This situation stared changing as the Congress lost power in many
States. For example, in State Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh held in 2007,
2012 & 2017, BSP, SP, & BJP were respectively the beneficiaries of
division of votes and each one could secure a majority in the Assembly, though
each of them secured just about 35 % of total votes. In 2014 Lok Sabha election
biggest beneficiary of division of votes was BJP. What will be the impact of
SP-BSP alliance and division of votes between SP-BSP, Congress and BJP in Lok
Sabha election is not very clear and thus it is unpredictable.
All recent poll surveys also give a big smile to BJP. It looks like Prime
Minister Narendra Modi is surging ahead of opposition and going towards a huge
electoral victory.
Put BJP back in power and let Bharat under BJP move fast on all four
cylinders. India is less corrupt than the world's many countries. We do not
sell arms for profit. India never bought or sold slaves in its city or town
markets. Indians never colonised a single meter of any foreign land. Indian
religions do not convert others by offering them meals or bus tickets. Congress
Party's Priyanka has a degree in Buddhism, qualified to start a religious
monastery in Tibet, but not good enough to steer the world's most populous
democracy.
