Dinesh Kamath's Editorial 'Modi single-handedly pulverizes the Opposition' that was published in Newsband

Modi single-handedly pulverizes the Opposition
The BJP scored a gigantic victory in the Lok Sabha elections. PM Narendra Modi single-handedly pulverised the Opposition.
India is still notionally a multi-party system, but in the south, regional parties have held on to their supreme position. The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) confounded admirers and critics alike by amassing a majority that surpassed its haul of 282 of 543 Lok Sabha seats in 2014. This is also because of meticulous planning by BJP president Amit Shah. But without Modi, there could be and would be no Shah. It was Mr. Modi’s unflagging, ever-present visage, beamed into homes.
Shah had announced soon after the BJP’s 2014 victory that the Congress’s days were numbered. The slogan ‘Congress-mukt (Congress-free) Bharat’ seems like becoming a reality. The Congress did show its existence from time to time by registering victories here and there. But 2019 has proved that the externment will not be long in coming.
Notionally the Congress has improved on its pathetic 2014 tally of 44 Lok Sabha seats, but the defeat of party president Rahul Gandhi in Amethi is a warning of bigger catastrophes ahead. He was contesting from the bastion of the Nehru-Gandhi clan and he lost.
During the campaign it was proved that there was a distinction between Islamist and Hindutva terror: The first was a danger that had to be crushed with all the force possible. The second didn’t exist.
Modi played nationalist hero to the hilt with a benevolent Election Commission watching. Previous Prime Ministers wanted to protect their minority vote banks. As the campaign progressed, nationalism inevitably got posited against the Opposition’s ‘Muslim appeasement’ politics. The Prime Minister accused Rahul Gandhi of fleeing to Wayanad in Kerala to be able to contest from a constituency where “the majority was in a minority.”
With his sharp nationalist-Hindutva messaging and towering presence, Modi is bigger than the party. The media is now accepting Modi's plus points after denigrating him in a sustained manner for a long time. If Congress comes up with talented leadership rather than Dynasty leadership then it will be very good for India so that it will have more choices to get Strong leadership.
Democracy has its own advantage and fallacy. There is a difference in perception of intellectuals and masses. Although former is part of latter but they feel themselves as superior. The intellectual community should not forget that any idea to succeed need masses. Rather than treating them as a crowd of fools it would be better if they could guide them in the right direction. Over simplification of things has also crept into media.
The phenomenon called Modi is a tsunami for bakths and a catastrophe for opposition. But Modi should never forget one thing - Lord Acton's famous quote: Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. One has seen that happening with former PM Indira Gandhi. Modi should take care to see that it doesn’t happen with him.

Salman Khan had rejected the movie ‘Baazigar’, Shah Rukh Khan accepted it
The movie became a big hit
By Dinesh Kamath

Salman Khan had refused to act in the film ‘Baazigar’. The role then went to Shah Rukh Khan. The movie went on to become a big hit. Here are some information about the film:
Baazigar (English: Juggler) is a 1993 Indian crime thriller film directed by Abbas–Mustan starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol in the lead roles. It is a contemporary thriller about a young man who stops at nothing to get what he wants. The story is inspired from a 1991 British movie A Kiss Before Dying. This was Shah Rukh Khan's breakthrough role as the sole lead and Kajol's first commercial success. Actress Shilpa Shetty was supposed to debut with Gaata Rahe Mera Dil, but it remained unreleased, and this became her debut film. Baazigar was the first film in which Shah Rukh Khan played the role of an anti-hero and the first which earned Khan a Filmfare Award for Best Actor. Initially this movie was offered to Armaan Kohli and Salman Khan to play the lead role, but they all rejected it as the role had negative shades.
Baazigar was a major commercial success upon release, and the first film of the famous Shahrukh Khan-Kajol pair. In addition to box office success, the film's soundtrack album composed by Anu Malik was also a success, selling 10 million units. The film brought actors Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, and Shilpa Shetty, and composer Anu Malik, to the limelight. It was remade in Telugu as Vetagadu with Rajasekhar, in Tamil as Samrat and in Kannada as Nagarahavu with Upendra.
The film's premise is a subversion of a concept loosely inspired by a Hollywood film, A Kiss Before Dying (1991), which itself was based on a novel of the same name. While it borrows the basic premise, Baazigar tells a different, subversive story. While Matt Dillon's character in A Kiss Before Dying is a villain who murders for money, Baazigar subverts this, with Shah Rukh Khan's character instead being a sympathetic anti-hero seeking vengeance for the brutal injustices done to his family.
Several A-list Bollywood stars were approached for the lead role, but they turned it down, due to the character being a murderous, negative anti-hero. Salman Khan was the first choice, but he turned it down, with his father Salim Khan saying Salman was not ready for such a gamble. Anil Kapoor was the next choice, but he also rejected the offer, as it went against his "heroic" on-screen image. Shah Rukh Khan eventually convinced producer Ratan Jain that only he could pull off the role; Jain liked his confidence, and cast him in the role. However, his casting was criticized by trade pundits who incorrectly predicted that "a boy with cute dimples" would never be accepted as an anti-hero. Sridevi was supposed to play both female roles (twin sisters) as did Sean Young in original film, but the director realized that because of her popularity, the audience will not be able to sympathize with the hero if he kills the character played by Sridevi, hence they decided to cast different actresses.
Baazigar was a commercial success and the third highest-grossing Indian film of 1993, below another Shah Rukh Khan film, Darr. Baazigar's collections in India were ₹7.75 crore nett and ₹14 crore gross, equivalent to ₹250 crore (US$36 million) adjusted for inflation.

Dinesh Kamath's Editorial 'A defeat for Nehruvian policies' that was published in Newsband

A defeat for Nehruvian policies
The Bharatiya Janata Party’s victory in the 17th general election marks an important phase in Indian politics. The 16th general election in 2014 catapulted the BJP to top position and relegated the Congress to a distant second. With the 2019 result, Hindutva has pushed Nehruvian secularism to the margins of Indian politics.
The 2019 verdict has also dismantled social justice politics in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, two States that together send 120 members to the Lok Sabha. The rise of Hindutva since the 1980s had a parallel — a new wave of backward caste mobilisation in parts of northern and western India, which questioned the Nehruvian elite’s grip on power. The Rashtriya Janata Dal in Bihar and the Samjawadi Party, the Bahujan Samaj Party and the Rashtriya Lok Dal in U.P., usurped by their leaders as personal and family fiefdoms and sunk in corruption charges, collapsed. But outfits such as Ram Vilas Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party in Bihar and the Shiv Sena in Maharashtra, guilty of the same sins, have flourished in their alliance with the BJP. Southern States, barring Karnataka, remained unimpressed by Hindutva, but the BJP made impressive inroads in West Bengal and Odisha.
To urge the BJP to uphold secular ideals or to protect the integrity of existing institutions may amount to demanding an abandonment of its very core beliefs. Gaining the trust of all citizens will be a necessary prerequisite for Modi to drive India’s continuing journey to become a global leader. It is only reasonable that the government and the Prime Minister be asked to live up to the promise they continuously make‘sabka saath, sabka vikas (with all, development for all)’.
The people of India have reposed their faith Mr. Modi and it is hoped he will be able to come up to their expectations as enshrined in the Constitution of this country. In spite of many lapses on part of BJP, people voted Modi since he is corruption free and took bold steps in geo political affairs. There is no coordination among the opposition and Congress miserably failed to bring resonance with State parties and most of the state parties are family property with high corruption.
It is hoped that Modi makes correction on his previous lapses in the new polity. It is the idea of Hindu nationalism that won. Let us hope that the corrosive narrative that helped this idea to spread would subside and the new government would bring in "sab Kaa Saath, sab kaa vikaas" with sab Kaa vishwaas.

Dinesh Kamath's Editorial 'Urban Health Centers at KK – a great idea' that was published in In New Bombay

Urban Health Centers at KK – a great idea
The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has started developing two urban health centers at Koparkhairane with the intention of providing better healthcare services in the city. Now this is a good news.
The civic body is spending a total of Rs 4.20 crore for these projects. The health centers are being developed at sector 14 and sector 16. Both the premises will be ground plus one storied buildings. NMMC has been asked to finish the constructions within ten months. So the buildings should be ready by January next year.
There was urgent need of two more urban centres in Koparkhairane node since the population over here has risen considerably. These urban centres will have all the facilities including the reception and the medical officer’s chamber, a laboratory, waiting lobby, registration hall, store room and a conference hall at each of the premises..
There are a total of 23 urban health centers in Navi Mumbai. Discussions are going on to develop a few more at some of the populated nodes.
A huge number of residents of this node are lower middle class and poor people and cannot go to the private hospitals for medical check-ups. The urban health centers are big help for these people.
Urban Health Centres are state-owned urban health care facilities in India. They are essentially single-physician clinics usually with facilities for minor surgeries, too. They are part of the government-funded public health system in India and are the most basic units of this system.
Apart from the regular medical treatments, these centers have some special focuses. Infant immunization programs: Immunization for newborns under the national immunization program is dispensed through the PHCs. This program is fully subsidized. Anti-epidemic programs: The PHCs act as the primary epidemic diagnostic and control centres for the rural India. Whenever a local epidemic breaks out, the system's doctors are trained for diagnosis. They identify suspected cases and refer for further treatment. Birth control programs: Services under the national birth control programs are dispensed through the PHCs. Sterilization surgeries such as vasectomy and tubectomy are done here. These services, too, are fully subsidised. Pregnancy and related care: A major focus of the PHC system is medical care for pregnancy and child birth in rural India. This is because people from rural India resist approaching doctors for pregnancy care which increases neonatal death. Hence, pregnancy care is a major focus area for the PHCs. Emergencies: All the PHCs store drugs for medical emergencies which could be expected in rural areas. For example antivenoms for snake bites, rabies vaccinations, etc.
The eight elements of primary health care are focused upon: Provision of medical care, Maternal-child health including family planning, Safe water supply and basic sanitation, Prevention and control of locally endemic diseases, Collection and reporting of vital statistics, Education about health, National health programmes, as relevant, Referral services, Training of health guides, health workers, local dais and health assistants and Basic laboratory workers.
So NMMC needs to be commended for its idea of coming up with two more Urban Centres.

Movie ‘Chak De! India’ was rejected by Salman Khan, accepted by Shah Rukh Khan
‘Chak De! India’ became the third-highest-grossing film of 2007 in India
By Dinesh Kamath

Salman Khan had rejected the movie Chak De India which later went to Shah Rukh Khan. Here are few information about the film:
Chak De! India (English: Go For it! India or Go! India) is a 2007 Indian Hindi language sports film, directed by Shimit Amin and produced by Aditya Chopra, with a screenplay written by Jaideep Sahni, sports scenes choreographed by Rob Miller, and music by Salim–Sulaiman. It tells a fictional story about the Indian women's national field-hockey team, which was inspired by the team's win at the 2002 Commonwealth Games, and explores themes such as feminism and sexism, the legacy of the partition of India, racial and religious bigotry, and ethnic and regional prejudice. The film stars Shahrukh Khan as Kabir Khan, former captain of the Indian men's national field-hockey team. After a disastrous loss to Pakistan, Khan is ostracized from the sport and he and his mother are driven from the family home by angry neighbors. Seven years later, to redeem himself, Khan becomes the coach of the Indian national women's hockey team and aims to turn its sixteen contentious players into a championship unit.
Chak De! India won a number of awards, including the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment. On 30 August 2007, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences requested a copy of the film's script for a place in its Margaret Herrick Library. When the Indian Hockey Federation was reorganised in April 2008, former player Aslam Sher Khan said that he wanted "to create a 'Chak De' effect" in Indian hockey. The film was screened in New Delhi on 17 August 2016, as part of the week long Independence Day Film Festival. The festival was jointly presented by the Indian Directorate of Film Festivals and Ministry of Defense, commemorating India's 70th Independence Day.
Chak De! India premiered on 9 August 2007 at Somerset House in London to an audience of over 2,000 during the Film4 Summer Screen and India Now festivals. It was released globally in theaters on 10 August 2007, playing on only 400 screens in India because of the commercial failure of Yash Raj Films's two previous films.
Due to the film's strong critical response, theaters reported 80-percent occupancy for its opening weekend. Chak De! India topped the Indian box office during its first two weeks, and played to full houses during its first two months. The film was particularly successful in large cities. Chak De! India was the third-highest-grossing film of 2007 in India, with domestic net earnings of ₹50,54,00,000 that year. By the end of its theatrical run, the film grossed ₹108.18 crore ($27.05 million) worldwide, including ₹85.86 crore gross (₹66.54 crore net) in India and $3.94 million (₹15.76 crore) overseas.
Review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes gave Chak De! India a rating of 92% based on 13 reviews (12 "fresh" and one "rotten"), with an average score of 7.2 out of 10. On Metacritic, the film had a score of 68 from four critics, indicating generally favorable reviews.
In an NPR interview via affiliate WBUR-FM, Mumbai Mirror columnist Aseem Chhabra called Chak De! India "an example of a film that's been made within the framework of Bollywood and yet it is a very different film. It does take up some realistic issues, and what I really liked about the film was that the women who acted, you know, who are part of the team, each one of them got a chance. Their personality, their characters, were very well-written, and so, the superstar in the film was Shahrukh Khan, who was the coach of the team; he doesn't sort of take over the whole film. Every supporting character gets a role, and it's a very inspiring movie that really changed the mood in India. People loved it". Nikhat Kazmi of The Times of India gave the film four out of five stars stating that it was a film of "great performances by a bunch of unknowns." India Today called Chak De! India "the most feisty girl power movie to have come out of Bollywood ever." Sudhish Kamath of The Hindu wrote, "At another level, Chak De is about women's liberation. It is one of the best feminist films of our times." Rajeev Masand of CNN-IBN gave the film four out of five stars, saying "Chak De's ... a winner all the way." Shubhra Gupta of The Indian Express called the film "the most authentic, meticulously researched sports movie India has made". In Kolkata's Telegraph, Bharathi S. Pradhan wrote that the film combines "an extremely well-knit screenplay with unrelentingly deft direction, 16 unknown, and not even glamorous, girls simply carried you with them, with one single known actor compelling you to watch Chak De India without blinking". Jaspreet Pandohar of the BBC gave Chak De! India four out of five stars stating that "while the tale of the sporting underdog is hardly new, Jaideep Sahni's screenplay offers a rare look at a popular Indian sport often overshadowed by cricket." Andy Webster of The New York Times wrote that the film gave a fresh look to the conventional underdog sports film, comparing its premise to the U.S. victory in the 1991 FIFA Women's World Cup. Derek Elley of Variety called Chak De! India "a patriotic heartwarmer that scores some old-fashioned entertainment goals."  In The Hollywood Reporter, Kirk Honeycutt wrote that the "technical credits are first rate with excellent cinematography, quicksilver editing, musical montages of practice and a fine use of locations."
Michael Dequina of themoviereport.com was more critical of the film, giving it 2.5 out of four stars and calling it "a very familiar, very formula underdog sports movie with nothing to distinguish it from similar, equally slick Hollywood product." Maitland McDonagh of TV Guide gave Chak De! India two stars out of four, writing that the film uses "sports-movie conventions to address larger cultural and political issues, and while it doesn't miss a cliche, it also invests every one with vigorous conviction." Although Subhash K. Jha gave the film 3.5 stars, calling it "a fairly predictable story" with dialogue "quite often the stuff bumper stickers are made of", he wrote that "Chak De India is an outright winner" and "one of the finest sports-based dramas in living memory." Khalid Mohamed gave the film 3.5 stars in the Hindustan Times stating that the film "may be predictable but compels you to root for a team of losers whom only an earth-angel can save from disastrous defeat".
Apart from critics, Chak De! India tied with Taare Zameen Par for the Best film of 2007 according to various Bollywood movie directors such as Madhur Bhandarkar, David Dhawan, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Anurag Basu, and Sriram Raghavan.
Chak De! India has become an influential film. The title track song "Chak De! India," now doubles as a sports anthem in India and is played at numerous sports events. According to Salim Merchant, the song "almost became the sports anthem of the country, especially after India won the Cricket World Cup [2011]. It was no longer our song but the country's song". After India's World Cup victory, Indian team player Virat Kohli "sang 'Chak de India' to the crowd". When India defeated South Africa at the 2015 Cricket World Cup, Nitin Srivastava of the BBC noted: "MCG has erupted with "Vande Mataram" (the national song of India) and "Chak De India" (Go India!) slogans in the air! And there's no age barrier for cricket fans who came and enjoyed the match".
In addition, the suspension of the Indian Hockey Federation in April 2008 also indicated the film's influence. India Today used the title to label the event in two articles, titled "Operation Chak De impact: Jothikumaran resigns" and "Operation Chak de impact: Furore in Lok Sabha". The Indiatimes, in an article titled, "Five wise men set for a Chak De act" also argued, "It looks like Indian hockey has done a real Chak de this time around". In addition, former hockey player Aslam Sher Khan, who was appointed by the Indian Olympic Association to head a committee which will replace the IHF, pointed to the film as a model to work towards. He stated in an interview, "We have to make a Team India as you have seen in Bollywood blockbuster Chak De! India. There are players from several parts of the country. We have to unite them to make a powerful force." In another interview, he emphasised that he wants "to create a Chak De effect" on hockey in India.

Dinesh Kamath's Editorial 'Indians reject corrupt Congress, accept Modi' that was published in Newsband

Indians reject corrupt Congress, accept Modi
People of India have said a big NO to corruption and the corrupt Congress. Modi has no excuse now not to root out corruption including in the states. This is his real chance to go down in the history as the true maker of a modern, lawful, and developed India. Will he use it fully?  As for Tamilnadu, let us hope that Stalin redeems the name of his party with an honest administration that is less casteist too.
Modi is a true Son of the Indian soil, who came from a humble and hard-working background. He is the only hope to rid India of corruption, develop India into an advanced and modern country. He has vastly improved India's image, both abroad and Nationally. He will protect India from security threats both externally and internally.
Congress lost because 1. It had no strong & promising leader/ PM candidate 2. Had no clear vision/mission/issues for future 3. Public didn't want historically corrupt party back to power 4. Had anti-nationalist views 5. Never gave a good fight to BJP to win the election.
Congratulations to the BJP, an astounding win and now the country can move forward and Modi will modernise and advance India into the future.
Congress election strategy faulted mainly for the following reasons: 1) Calling 'Chowkidar Chor' and that too by Congress with corrupt image, history of recent 2G scam and many other including  Bofors and with  leaders on  bail in other cases. This has been more damaging since Modi has not been tainted with any scam, or corruption charge. Even in Rafale deal there has been no hint of corrupt money exchange. 2) Buffoonery of embracing Modi in parliament and winking, indicating signs of childishness not expected from leader aspiring to be a Statesman. 3) People were not convinced that Rahul could give better governance.
Before the election results were declared, U.S. expressed its confidence about fairness, integrity of Indian elections. The United States said that it was confident in the fairness and integrity of the Indian elections and would work with whoever is the victor. Unlike other countries, the U.S. does not send its election observers to India because of the strong independent credentials of the Election Commission of India. US called India a true strategic partner numerous times. The US diplomat praised India and its people for carrying out such a massive exercise peacefully, describing it as fascinating. She referred India’s election as the largest exercise in democracy in human history. She commended the Indian people.

Dinesh Kamath’s column ‘New movies released in Navi Mumbai’ (India’s Most Wanted, PM Narendra Modi and Yeh Hai India) that was published in Newsband

New movies released in Navi Mumbai
By Dinesh Kamath
India's Most Wanted
India's Most Wanted is an Indian Hindi-language action thriller film directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, and starring Arjun Kapoor. The film is about tracking a terrorist in a secret mission and arresting him without firing bullets. This film also deals with a journey of Prabhat Kapoor's (played by Arjun Kapoor) life of action adventure. India's Most Wanted is inspired by the arrest of proscribed organisation Indian Mujahideen (IM) terrorist Abdul Subhan Qureshi, also referred to as India's Osama Bin Laden, in January 2018 by Delhi Police.
Principal photography of the film began in May 2018 and wrapped up in November 2018. The soundtrack was composed by Amit Trivedi, with lyrics written by Amitabh Bhattacharya, and released under the banner Saregama.
The movie has an interesting story. Five unlikely heroes embark on a dangerous covert operation to capture one of India's deadliest terrorists. Arjun Kapoor plays the central role of an Intelligence Bureau officer. The film is based on India's biggest manhunt, of Yasin Bhatkal. The movie is a tribute to the unsung heroes of our country. This action-thriller is centered on an intelligence officer recruited for a seemingly impossible mission. Inspired by true events, the movie celebrates the valour of real-life IB officer Prabhat Kapoor who undertook the task of capturing one of the most wanted terrorists without firing a single bullet. India's Most Wanted follows the story of five men, who seek to capture a deadly extremist, without weapons or state-of-the-art technology. The two-and-a-half minute trailer opens with anonymous voices claiming that the nation-state is in a bad state, owing to a flurry of untraceable suicide blasts. We see Arjun in the midst of a chaotic stampede, with people running haywire. One scene shows him in conversation with Rajesh Sharma, as he proclaims that he will capture the perpetrator, who is referred to as India's most wanted, for the government in five days. Arjun's team comprises of Prasanth Alexandrr as Pillai, Gaurav Mishra as Amit, Aasif Khan as Bittu, Santilal Mukherjee as Shaumik Biswas and Bajrangbali Singh as Ravi, who will battle all odds to find the deadly extremist. Bureaucracy and red-tape are their foes and all they can trust are each other.
The movie has Arjun Kapoor as Prabhat Kapoor, Amrita Puri as Priyanka Rao, Rajesh Sharma as Rajesh Singh, Prashanth Alexander as Pillai, Shantilal Mukherjee as Shaumik Biswas, Devendra Mishra as Javed, Gaurav Mishra as Amit, Aasif Khan as Bittu, Bajrangbali Singh as Ravi, Pravin Singh Sisodia as Manish, Rajiv Kachroo as Dev and Sudev Nair.
The film's soundtrack was composed by Amit Trivedi, with lyrics written by Amitabh Bhattacharya, and released under the banner Saregama. The film has songs like "Akela" sung by Abhijeet Srivastava and "Vande Mataram" by Papon and Altamash Faridi.

PM Narendra Modi

PM Narendra Modi is an Indian biographical film directed by Omung Kumar and jointly produced by Suresh Oberoi, Sandip Ssingh, and Anand Pandit. The film is based on the life of Narendra Modi, and 14th Prime Minister of India; starring Vivek Oberoi in the lead role who is also credited as co-writer of the film. The film will release in 23 different languages. It is the story of Indian Prime minister Narendra Modi's life and his struggle to become a politician without money and background.
The film is interesting in the sense that it showcases Modi's remarkable courage, wisdom, patience, dedication to his people, his acumen as a political strategist, his leadership that inspired a thousand social changes in Gujarat and later India. It traces his childhood in the 1950s to his meteoric rise in the corridors of politics, as a four-time serving Chief Minister. The film culminates in Modi's overcoming all the obstacles to create and lead one of the most fascinating and successful election campaigns in world politics in 2013-14. The remarkable rise of Modi, from a boy who sold tea in a small railway station in Vadnagar, Gujarat, to becoming one of India’s charismatic political heavyweights makes the movie a treat to watch. Just like Modi’s popular wardrobe choice — crisp, crease-free cotton kurtas in muted tones — his life is startlingly spotless and achingly stiff. The movie portrays Modi as India’s man-of-the-moment and an infallible people’s leader. There’s even a rap song that plays whenever on-screen Modi manages a rousing speech to extol the virtues of honest governance. The movie also depicts episodes in Modi’s life and regime, like the religious riots that erupted in Gujarat during his watch as the Chief Minister of the state or his religion-based politics. He’s shown as a misunderstood messiah who’s a keeper of humanity. His only religion is karma, which means service. A scene in which he engineers a transformation of an angry mob to drop their swords in Gujarat during riots is worth watching. The movie also has heightened emotional speeches everywhere.
The film has Vivek Oberoi as Narendra Modi and Manoj Joshi as Amit Shah.
The music of the film is composed by A. R. Rahman, Hitesh Modak and Shashi-Khushi while the lyrics are written by Javed Akhtar, Prasoon Joshi, Sameer, Abhendra Upadhyay, Irshad Kamil, Parry G. and Lavraj. Two songs, one Suno Gaur Se Duniya Walon from Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt starrer a 1997 unfinished film Dus and the other Ishwar Allah from the film 1947: Earth, starring Aamir Khan, Nandita Das and lyrics by Javed Akhtar used in this film. Thus the movie has songs like "Saugandh Mujhe Iss Mitti Ki", "Namo Namo", "Hindustani" (Original lyrics by Sameer), "Fakeera", "Junoon" and "Ishwar Allah" (Original lyrics by Javed Akhtar).

Yeh Hai India

Yeh Hai India (transl. This is India) is an Indian Hindi-language drama film written and directed by Lom Harsh. Produced by Sandeep Choudhary under the banner of DLB Films Pvt. Ltd. It features Gavie Chahal, Deana Uppal in the lead roles. Music by Raja Hassan and Tapesh R Panwar. G.K. Yogesh is the creative director of the film.
The film has an interesting story. Yeh Hai India, follows the story of a 25 years old NRI, who is born and brought up in U.K and shares the same stereotype views of India, which is known for its vast population, pollution and poverty. However, protagonist finds new development in media or probably an 'other side of same coin' of India, which is also known for successful mars mission in first attempt, a nation which proudly holds title 'God of Cricket' for Sachin Tendulkar, who is again an Indian and a nation which is known for its holy generosity with icons like Mother Teresa". The film was shot in Rajasthan, Bihar, Mumbai, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat.
The film has Gavie Chahal as NRI, Deana Uppal as British Girl, Mohan Agashe as PM, Mohan Joshi as Tourist Minister, Surendra Pal, Ashutosh Kaushik, Antara Banerjee, Bikramjeet Kanwarpal and Karmveer Choudhary as Darshan Singh.
