Five golden rules
Nobody would like to live a disturbed life. A disturbed mind prevents us from understanding ourselves. We are unable to see the truth. We fail to judge people properly and that affects our relations. Our life becomes chaotic and confused.
This state of mind can be avoided if you observe the following rules:
(1) Understand your parents. Your parents are the people who gave you birth. The first effort put in by someone to make it happen for you is your parents without whom your presence and upbringing wouldn’t have been possible at all. Give them all the love and respect that is due to them. Be grateful to them for bringing you into this world. If you understand both the positive and negative sides of your parents, you will definitely not fail to understand yourself.
(2) Next respect your ‘Guru’ or ‘Teacher’. Your teacher is the person whose role is not less important than that of your parents. It is the teacher who gives you the knowledge and polishes your skills owing to which you are able to face the world after acquiring formal education. Don’t blindly obey your teacher. Weigh every word that your teacher utters and then decide whether to obey those words or not.
(3) Understand your religion. Don’t misuse your religion. Religion will prove very useful to you as long as you don’t misinterpret and misuse it. A religious Guru does instill in you a sense of security. But even here weigh every word that the religious Guru utters before applying them.
(4) Pursue you profession with total interest. Some people rightly consider their profession as their religion. Everyone has to earn his or her daily bread. It is profession that fetches you money which is the most important thing in this world. So learn to manage your money. You must know how much money to spend and save. That depends upon how much you earn and how much are your requirements.
(5) Love your family and friends. They form your society. A good society prevents you from leading a disturbed life. Understand your family members and be very careful while choosing your friends. Friendship is a sensitive issue. Not everybody will deserve to be your friend. Only those people who really understand you and care for you deserve a place in your circle of friends. Friendship is two ways. You also should do justice to your friends and not just expect them to be loyal to you.
Thus these are the five golden rules which will enable you to lead a peaceful and enjoyable life. Go ahead and observe these rules.
