Hamid
Hamid is an Indian drama film
directed by Aijaz Khan. The film stars Rasika Dugal, Vikas Kumar and Talha
Arshad Reshi in major roles. The story is about an eight year-old Hamid who
learns that 786 is God's number and decides to try and reach out to God, by dialing
this number. He wants to talk to his father, who his mother tells him has gone
to Allah. One fine day the phone call is answered, and two lives shattered in
the strife of Kashmir find a way to be complete again. The film is produced by
Yoodlee Films, a venture of Saregama.
The story is about an eight

heartwarming performances. Kashmir is the locale. Political tensions have been
prevalent there since decades. The film brings the plight of the Kashmiris to
the world. Told through the perspective of an eight-year-old boy, this
heartwarming drama explores the relationship of Kashmiri locals with the Indian
Army and the issues between the two factions. When Rehmat (Sumit Kaul) – a
Kashmiri boatmaker – goes missing, his wife Ishrat (Rasika Dugal) and
eight-year-old son Hamid (Talha Arshad Reshi) are distraught. For over a year,
Ishrat is making the rounds of the police station, hoping to hear some news of
her lost husband. As he is presumed dead, Hamid’s classmates tease him saying
that his father is with Allah. For the naïve Hamid, the only way to bring his
father back is to talk to Allah directly and he gets his opportunity through a
telephone call when he dials 786 – God’s number. The phone is answered by an
army man named Abhay (Vikas Kumar) who is dealing with issues of his own. An
unlikely bond is formed between the soldier and the child, as they help each
other cope with life and loss.

Indian-American coming-of-age romantic comedy-drama film written, co-produced
and directed by Ritesh Batra. It stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Sanya Malhotra
in the lead roles. The film follows a street photographer Rafi (Siddiqui), who
tries to convince Miloni (Malhotra) to pose as his fiancee so that his
grandmother stops pressurising him to get married.
The plot revolves around a
struggling street photographer Rafi (Nawazuddin Siddiqui), based in Mumbai, who
works day and night to pay off an old family debt. His grandmother (Farrukh
Jaffar) wishes to see him married and constantly pressurizes him to find a
suitable match. He convinces his grandmother by showing her a picture of a shy
stranger, Miloni (Sanya Malhotra). When Rafi’s grandmother further prods to
introduce her to his fiancé, he tracks down Miloni, a student belonging to a
middle-class family. Rafi convinces her to fake their relationship, to which
Miloni readily agrees. Despite the difference in their culture, status and
economic background, the two form a unique bond. The film is a love letter to
Mumbai, bringing the city out as a character sheltering the two protagonists
and their extraordinary journey.

Sharmaji Ki Lag Gayi is a film

The comedy film Sharma Ji Ki Lag
Gayi is about Sharmaji (Brijendra Kala) and his beautiful and young wife Shobha
(Mugdha Godse) staying in a city in North India. Sharmaji is a professor but he
is working as columnist in the newspaper Jhunjhuna which belongs to Murli
(Krushna Abhishek), a young and charming guy. Sharmaji’s sex solution column
becomes very popular and everyone wants his advice including top politicians,
cops etc. Murli is very close to Sharmaji and his wife. Sharmaji always thinks
everyone is eyeing his biwi Shobha. Lalan (Hemant Pandey) a small gunda in the
city meets Shobha in the market. Shobha complains to Sharmaji but he advices
her not to mess with gunda but Murli beats Lalan and also puts him behind bar
with the help of Inspector Tiwari (Mukesh Tiwari). Shobha is very happy but
Sharmaji is very upset. Lalan’s mother (Himani Shivpuri) meets Sharmaji and
requests him to bail out Lalan. Sharmaji goes to police station but Inspector
Tiwari refuses due to pressure from politicians, but Lalan tells Sharmaji that
Murli is having an affair with Shobha. The film is a fun ride with lots of
turns and twists.
