Bollywood films which make Indians love their
country – Part 3
The following are still more Indian war films which will get
released in the future and they are bound to make Indians still more proud of
their country.
Kesari
Kesari (transl. Saffron) is an Indian war film starring
Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra in the lead roles and directed by Anurag
Singh. It tells the story of Havildar Ishar Singh who participates in the
Battle of Saragarhi (in which an army of 21 Sikhs fought against 10,000 Afghans
in 1897). The film is scheduled for release on March 21, 2019.
The film has Akshay Kumar as Havildar Ishar Singh, Parineeti
Chopra and Mir Sarwar.
Batla House
Batla House is a 2019 Indian action thriller film based on
the Batla House encounter case that took place on 19 September 2008. The film
is directed by Nikkhil Advani and starring John Abraham and Mrunal Thakur in
the lead role. The film is set to release on 15 August 2019.
The film has John Abraham as DCP Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, Mrunal
Thakur as Sarasvati, Ravi Kishan as KK, Manish Chaudhari as Commissioner
Jaivir, Prakash Raj as Mohan Kumar, Sonam Arora as KK's Wife and Nora Fatehi as
an item number.
Panipat
Panipat is a 2019 Indian historical period drama film
directed by Ashutosh Gowarikar. It stars Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Kapoor and Kriti
Sanon and is set to release on 6 December 2019.
The film has Sanjay Dutt as Ahmad Shah Abdali, Arjun Kapoor
as Sadashiv Rao Bhau,
Kriti Sanon as Parvati Bai, Padmini Kolhapure as Gopika Bai,
Mohnish Bahl as Balaji Baji Rao and Mantra as Najib ad-Dawlah.
The film is being directed by Oscar nominated and National
Award winning director Ashutosh Gowariker. National Award winning art director
Nitin Chandrakant Desai is recreating the majestic Shaniwar Wada at ND Studios,
Karjat. Neeta Lulla is designing the costumes. Veteran actress Padmini
Kolhapure too joined the cast of the film.
Ajay Atul are composing the music for the film. The songs
will be written by Javed Akhtar.
Vikram Batra Biopic
Sidharth Malhotra and Karan Johar announced about Vikram
Batra biopic. Sidharth Malhotra will play Captain Vikram Batra in the biopic.
Sidharth Malhotra and his mentor Karan Johar are reuniting once again, and that
too for a biopic. After donning the uniform in his last film Aiyaary, Sidharth
will again play an army officer in his next. This time, the 33-year-old actor,
will bring on the big screen the story of Kargil hero Param Vir Chakra
recipient Vikram Batra.
Vikram Batra's life story will inspire you and bring a smile
on your face. Karan Johar also confirmed the news about making a biopic on
Batra, well known as 'Sher Shah' for his bravery, and for the famous message
'Yeh dil mangey more' announcing a battle victory in the Kargil War.
Sidharth will play a double role, where he will portray both
Vikram and his twin, Vishal.
The film is predominately about Captain Vikram. Captain
Vikram Batra of 13 Jammu and Kashmir Rifles had fought in the Kargil War in
June 1999 in the Dras sub sector and was instrumental in the capture of Point
5140 on the Tololing Ridge leading to Tiger Hill. He laid down his life during
the subsequent operation of Point 4875, bravely rushing forward to rescue
Lieutenant Naveen, a subaltern under Batra. On 15 August, 1999, his father
received Vikram's Param Vir Chakra Award posthumously.
