ISKCON Navi Mumbai Celebrates 6th Annual Festival

KHARGHAR: The International Society of Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), Kharghar, Navi Mumbai, is celebrating its 6th Annual Festival on 21 and 22 March 2015. The two day festival includes day long programs of lectures and kirtan in the temple and a cultural event in the evening.
The project of the Temple of Sri Sri Radha Madanmohanji started in 2009 with the shilanyas of Gudi Padwa. This year it is celebrating its 6th year with an invitation to all its members, donors and residents of Navi Mumbai. Besides the regular temple program, the highlight of the first day of the festivities on Saturday 21 March is the ‘Abhishek’ of The Lord in the morning by the devotees of all the four temples of ISKCON in Mumbai. There will be a special discourse by His Holiness Gopal Krishna Goswami Maharaj, the Governing Body Commissioner of ISKCON and His Grace Sura Das Prabhu, Temple President, in the morning and evening on this day. The famous bhajan singers Asit Desai and Hema Desai are offering their seva on the 21st with a Bhajan Sandhya is the evening program that begins from 7 pm.
On 22 March Sunday there will be a ‘yagnya’ ceremony in the morning in which eminent devotees will take part and in the evening there is a performance by Padmashree Anup Jalota. Entry to the bhajan sandhya is free for all on both days. Elaborate arrangements have been made so that devotees can have darshan of the lord comfortably and also enjoy the various spiritual programs, planned for the day.
On this occasion, the Temple President HG Sura Das Prabhu along with the resident devotees have extended an invitation to all the residents of Navi Mumbai to participate whole heartedly in the celebration and receive the blessings of Sri Sri Radha Madan Mohanji and Srila Prabhupada along with sumptuous prasadam. It is also an opportunity to see the progress of the temple project which is now nearing completion. The people visiting the temple can see the project and come forward to help the project.

The Temple project which is designated as the Glory of Maharashtra, Vedic-educational and cultural centre is spread around nine acres of land and will have a magnificent temple along with a guest house, vanprastha ashram, Bhaktivedanta College for vedic education, a.c. auditorium, cultural centre, gurukul for children and ayurvedic centre. Once completed, it will be the pride of Maharashtra and a very prominent land mark in Maharashtra and India.
