Nehruvian ideas kept the nation poor
The Bharatiya Janata Party-led government is fighting over the Nehru Memorial Museum and Library in New Delhi. There was a controversy over the appointment of Mahesh Rangarajan as the director of the NMML. Dr. Rangarajan, a respected scholar and academic, was eventually forced to tender his resignation. The Congress party thinks of the Memorial as its fiefdom and thought nothing of rushing through the appointment process just before the country went into election mode.
Despite assurances from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to revere the memory of Nehru, it is now quite apparent that members of his Cabinet, who draw their strength and inspiration from the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, are not willing to let the Museum be. Murmurs about changing the basic structure of the Museum to make it “more contemporary” have slowly gained ground. There is a proposal to turn the NMML into a memorial for governance.
According to the followers of Nehru, the NMML is a tribute to independent India’s first Prime Minister, his vision and dreams for the country. Tribute for what? Keeping this nation poor in perpetuity and feeling insecure in its own land at the hands of descendents of invaders and marauders? Nehru's vision may be visionary on document for leftists and secularists. The historiography is a received one and not the factual one. It is received from biased leftists based on Marxism and thrust on the Nation by the selfish Nehru family. Yes these collective memories are to be erased and truth established.
History has been manipulated by the ruling Congress Governments from 1947 onwards. Indian freedom struggle, Indian constitution, Vision of Indian secularism are the contributions of a large number of people and not just by the Nehruvian Ideas. Even after 68 years of independence we are fed stories about so called sacrifices made by the Aristocratic Nehru family whose laundry used to go to Paris during the fight for independence. This dynasty used its influence to reward their kith & kin ir-respective of whether they were eligible or not. The communists toed the dynasties line because of its so called 'socialist' leaning. The media too takes up cudgels of dynasty for it has been fed with crumbs. The Congress blacklisted many freedom fighters as they bravely spoke against the dynasty. Had Sardar Patel or Subhash Chandra Bose become our PM after independence we would have been better off than we are today.
Why retain the megalomaniacal artifacts of the Nehru era? We all know that his Fabian concept of Socialism, and the Garibi Hatao, the empty slogan of his daughter, has only increased the number of Garibs to a shocking 50 percent or more.

It is a big surprise that most of these 'intellectual' news papers do not know any other contributor to the welfare of our country other than Nehru family members! Shameful!!
