JUINAGAR:In memory of late Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam, Amrita Vidyalayam, Juinagar held a “Science Exhibition” on October 6, 2015 to commemorate his birthday which falls on October 15th.
Students from grades 5th to 10th put up an interesting display on topics such as Renewable sources of energy, Global warming, Water Resource Management, Disaster Management, Pollution Control and Traffic Management. The innovative uses of household appliances were used to depict each of their themes. The awareness thus created during this exhibition will make the young minds  sensitive to the various issues that the environment is facing and help in the conscious understanding that nature is only as good as how we conserve it.

On the same day, the students also participated in the ‘Fevicol Science Project Challenge’. This year’s theme was ‘young minds creating better tomorrow’.  The young minds of Amrita Vidyalayam took up the challenge and put up an interesting combination of their scientific and artistic skills. The challenge enabled the students to think on issues relevant to our everyday life and create solutions that will help in creating a better tomorrow. The challenge saw a unique amalgamation of art, craft and science which will develop the creativity in the children and strengthen concepts of science. The Chief Guest Shri Ramkishan, who, as an Outstanding Scientist in BARC implemented Energy and water conservations measures, along with the eminent judges of Pidilite Industries tested the students’ scientific temperament and understanding.
