Akshay Kumar has been roped in Karan's
forthcoming production, to be helmed by Punit
Malhotra, and the latest development is that the film has been titled as Gutka.
This title was in fact with Madhur
Bhandarkar earlier. It was only after Karan
requested for it that Bhandarkar
quite willingly agreed to part with it.
Currently the I
Hate Luv Storys famed director is busy with Gori Tere Pyaar Mein,
after wrapping which he will start on with Gutka.
The Hindi remake of Thuppakki
will have Akshay Kumar in
the lead and AR Murugadoss helming it too.
Akshay Kumar's heist film Special 26 has not received
accolades from the critics but the film is minting moolah at the box office.
Within two weeks of its release, the film had collected Rs 61 crore.
Akshay Kumar has a new record to his name. The actor has reportedly
become the first Bollywood star to earn Rs. 2,000 cr from his films so far. The
45-year-old has hit the figure after working in 105 films since his debut film,
Saugandh,
in 1991.
It is indeed a good milestone. Akshay does 5-6 films per year and that
is why he has an advantage in terms of quantity. Congrats, Akshay!
