BELAPUR: The administration of he
Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) is waiting for the hoarding policy to
get cleared by the urban development department of the state.
In NMMC’s 2013-14 budget, it is proposed that Rs 35
crore would be allocated for obtaining of license to put up hoardings in the
city.
NMMC officials have come up with a hoarding
policy which is expected to get approved by the state government this year. The
NMMC was able to identify the places where banners and hoardings could be put up
during 2011. Now if the hoarding policy is cleared, the banners and hoardings
in the city will stop coming up at the unwanted places. This will give a new
look to the city.
