NAVI MUMBAI: The annual management fest of Bharati Vidyapeeth Institute of Management Studies and Research “Shikhar 2014”, has also witnessed the remarkable participation of students from different management institutions and colleges from Mumbai and Navi Mumbai.    
Prof. (Dr.) Mona Sinha, the convener of “Shikhar 2014” said that, more than 500 students have participated in different sports activities of “Shikhar 2014”. She explained that the remarkable outcome of this sports carnival is the enthusiastic participation of girls. This year “Shikhar” has also emphasized on women empowerment she emphasized. Girls from different management institutions have participated in the team and also cheered their team mates, she further added.
In the “Box Cricket” itself some 20 colleges participated in different team combinations. The NCRD’s Sterling Institute of management studies, Nerul declared the winner while the YMT Institute of management studies, Kharghar stands second.
In the “Ring Football” segment, all together 18 teams participated and in this game also the NCRD’s Sterling Institute of management studies, Nerul became victorious and BVIMED, CBD Belapur secured the runner up position.

Thus the main features of this event were: Students depicted their overall physical fitness in all fraternity of sports contest and over 500 students participated in different sports competitions.
