To convert Navi Mumbai into a Global
City

NAVI MUMBAI: Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik presented before the
District Planning Development Council (DPDC) an ambitious plan to raise
infrastructure in Navi Mumbai at a cost of Rs 12,822 crore.
"The
total expenditure for the project is expected to be around Rs 12821.50 crore,
of which the Navi Mumbai Corporation will contribute Rs 3,733 crore and Rs
4,093 crore will come by way of grants from MMRDA, JNNURM and deffered
payments," he said.
An
amount of Rs 4,995.50 crore will be raised through soft loans from national and
international financial institutions, the meeting was told.
The
plan envisages development of roads, bridges, flyovers, underpass,
foot-overbridges and storm water drainage in Navi Mumbai suburbs.
