Bhootnath Returns
Bhoothnath
Returns
is an Indian horror comedy film directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced jointly by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Ravi Chopra and co-produced by Ajay Kapoor. A sequel to 2008 film Bhoothnath,
the film features Amitabh Bachchan
in a leading role followed by Boman
Irani and Shahrukh Khan in a
supporting role. The film also has a cameo appearance of Ranbir Kapoor.
The movie has an
interesting plot. The film is set in a chaotic urban locality and features a
fearless, street-kid. Bhoothnath Returns looks like a
political satire in which a ghost takes on a corrupt politician by fighting
elections against him. Boman Irani
is cast as the antagonist who is challenged by Amitabh Bachchan.
Bhoothnath, which earlier
showed that the ghosts are friendly and not enemy or fearsome, takes a
political turn this time around. Bhoothnath Returns is the return of
the 60-year old ghost on earth who is discomforted in the dead world for his
inability to scare a little kid six years back. Therefore, he is up for a task,
which is even more disgusting for Bhoothnath.
He needs to scare about a dozen of kids on earth but in turn he turns into a
comic character. He fails to succeed in his task but wins over a lively kid Akhrot (Partho Bhalerao) who neither fears him nor any locale there. Their
friendship grows stronger and little later they turn into a business partner.
They are given a task of removing the spirits from a haunted building in return
of good money from a property developer. Soon they come across a local
politician Jamez Partho (Boman Irani) who asks them to bring the
haunted building in the same position as it was earlier or else face
consequences. Bhoothnath is in no
mood to step back but he decides to trouble Jamez
by fighting him in local elections. Now how this dead man stands against him in
this political battle and beats him over is how the story proceeds further.
The film has Amitabh Bachchan as Bhoothnath, Parth Bhalerao as Akhrot,
Usha Jadhav as Bindia Pathak, Boman Irani
as Jamez Porto, Anurag Kashyap as Mitelish
Pathak, Sanjay Mishra as Mishti Baihud, Brijendra Kala as Ridhima
Koyla & Joy Dens, Usha Nadkarni
as Lolita Singh, Shahrukh Khan in a cameo and Ranbir
Kapoor in a cameo.
The music of
film is scored by Ram Sampath and
the Meet Bros Anjjan. The film has
songs like Party To Banti Hai, Har Har
Gange, Party With The Bhoothnath, Dharavi Rap, Party To Banti Hai (Remix)
and Har Har Gange (Remix).
Divergent
Divergent is a 2014
American science fiction action film directed by Neil Burger, based on the novel of the same name by Veronica Roth. The film is the first
installment in the Divergent film series and is produced by Lucy Fisher, Pouya Shabazian, and Douglas Wick, with a screenplay by Evan Daugherty and Vanessa
Taylor. It stars Shailene Woodley,
Theo James, Zoë Kravitz, Ansel Elgort, Maggie Q, Mekhi Phifer, Jai Courtney,
Miles Teller, and Kate Winslet.
The story takes
place in a dystopian post-apocalyptic version of Chicago where people are
divided into distinct factions based on human virtues. Beatrice Prior is warned that she is Divergent and thus will never
fit into any one of the factions. She soon learns that a sinister plot is
brewing in her seemingly perfect society.
Thus the movie
narrates the story of an adolescent girl who is not like anyone else and who,
caught up in a world of adults who ultimately act like children, defies a
system premised upon foretold divisions or, as it is in this case, “factions.” A
hot but at first untrustworthy or “dangerous” guy comes into the picture, and
sublimated sexual attraction gets the ball rolling until consummation, after
much built up desire mixed begrudgingly with forbearance, occurs—usually at the
point of overcoming the powerful, extraordinarily and arrogantly smart enemy.
Rio 2 in 3D
Rio 2 is a 2014
American 3D computer-animated musical adventure-comedy film produced by Blue Sky Studios and directed by Carlos Saldanha. It is the sequel to
the 2011 computer-animated film Rio and the studio's first film to
have a sequel outside of their existing Ice Age franchise. The title refers to
the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro, where the first film was set and Rio 2
begins, though most of its plot occurs instead at the Amazon rainforest.
The film features
the returning voices of Jesse Eisenberg,
Anne Hathaway, will.i.am, Jamie Foxx, George Lopez, Tracy Morgan, Jemaine
Clement, Leslie Mann, Rodrigo Santoro, and Jake T. Austin.
The film has an
interesting plot. Blu, Jewel and
their three kids leave their domesticated life in the city of Rio de Janeiro
for a journey to the Amazon rainforest, where their owners Linda and Tulio were
doing an expedition that seemingly found a hidden tribe of Spix's Macaws. On their way there, they are witnessed in Manaus by Blu and Jewel's old nemesis Nigel the
cockatoo, who then decides to seek revenge on the macaws, enlisting poison
dart frog Gabi and tamandua Charlie as his minions. Upon arriving at
the Amazon, the family comes across Jewel's
long-lost father, Eduardo, who is in
hiding with his macaw tribe. As Blu
has trouble fitting in, Nigel
infiltrates the tribe, and illegal loggers kidnap Linda and Tulio on their
way to reach the macaws' hideout.
Oculus
Oculus is a 2013
American horror film directed by Mike
Flanagan. The movie stars Karen
Gillan as a young woman that is convinced that an antique mirror is
responsible for the death and misfortune her family has suffered.
The film has an
interesting plot. Ten years ago Tim
Russell (Brenton Thwaites) shot
his father (Rory Cochrane) after he
witnessed him killing his mother (Katee
Sackhoff). He's sent to a mental hospital because of the shooting but also
because he believed that his parents' deaths were due to an evil supernatural
entity that possessed an antique mirror in their home. This leaves his sister Kaylie (Karen Gillan) to face life alone until, years later, Tim is finally released. All he wants to
do is move on from that fateful night, but in his absence Kaylie has become convinced that the mirror is indeed possessed, as
she has discovered that the mirror's previous owners throughout the centuries
have had similarly bloody pasts. Kaylie
is determined to prove that the mirror is responsible for the murders as
opposed to Tim or her father.
