Dekh Tamasha Dekh

The film Dekh Tamasha Dekh is a political and social satire based on a true story, it revolves around the search for the religious identity of a poor man crushed under the weight of a politician's hoarding. It is a comedy film produced by Sunil A Lulla and Feroz Abbas Khan. Director of the film is Feroz Abbas Khan.
The film narrates the story of a town torn apart by the dispute over a dead man’s religious identity. What ensues is a mix of hilarity and horror that appropriately dissects the irrationality of violence, religious zealots, corruption and bureaucracy.
Dekh Tamasha Dekh is a capsule, and a diorama. Some of its key characters are: A well-intentioned but ineffectual police officer (Vinay Jain), a dog named Elizabeth, a Muslim family of meagre means (Tanvi Azmi as the matriarch), Hindu political puppets (including Sharad Ponkshe), a corpse that both Hindus and Muslims claim as their own, a crypto-fascist local businessman and hustler (Satish Kaushik), a newspaper editor with inflexible principles (Dhiresh Joshi), a sage-historian whose books are burnt on grounds of offence (Satish Alekar) and finally, a pair of doomed young lovers (Apoorva Arora and Alok Rajwade). Besides Kaushik and Azmi, most actors deliver with force. The film does demand a lot of histrionics because the men, women and animals collectively are always on a boil, although the best scenes are the quiet, introspective ones. Kaushik plays a wiry man who is massaging a viscous yellow liquid to his elephantine physique and face. He represents callousness, deceit, corruption as well as the idiocy of the media.

Caster also wants to become part of the new technology, and his wife Evelyn and his best friend Max Waters, also researchers, question the wisdom of this drive. When his mind is uploaded into a computer to try and save his life, Caster's goal to acquire knowledge becomes one to acquire power, and he seems to be unstoppable.
